Default Getting the equipment

Been getting into Strongman training recently, and was wondering where the best place to get the thick rope would be (1.5-2") and what kind exactly (just manila?). Is there a noticeable difference between 1.5" and 2"? Which one would be best to work with? I'm going to be using it to climb as well as hand-over-hand pulls...thanks. There are no places locally as I'm too far inland to find it.

Also, anyone know what kind of stores locally where I could find oxygen cylinders (will weld handles on them myself) for farmer's walks?

We have them in our gym I remember going to google and looking up hemp rope and found a few places. I have also bought some (non hemp) at a local marine shop. You do want hemp rope because it has no give, other rope even being thick stretches. I also like 2'' and I have used varrious sizes. Hope this helps

Are either of these better than the other? The second place is much cheaper by the foot, but only offer up to 1.5" thickness and do not offer "splicing" or "end whipping"; do I need either of those options or should I just go with the cheaper one?

Bump again for places to get "Farmer's Walk" equipment (cheap stuff, I'd rather not buy stuff from a workout store).
