I never used one, do you have to train with it for it to work well? |
It all depends on the shirt. I have been in many powerlifting comps in the past and have broken state records for powerlifting. You need to have the right shirt and the right training with the shirt. There are many shirts out there some are single ply(only ones i have used) others are dbl ply they have denim shirts. My personal fav is TITAN. I feel they are one of the best i have used inzer but strongly recommend the titan shirts over inzer. Titans F6 is for a bencher who has a big arch, the katana is by far the best shirt out there single ply isent going to add 200lbs on your bench but will give you anywhere from 75 to 125lbs or give or take alil. You can look around but when you use the shirt make sure your with ppl who know what they are doing , you could get seriously hurt if not. Shirts will sometimes kick out which can send the bar shooting foward or back at your head, its always good when using a heavy weight with the shirt (somthing 1 spotter cant pick up on his own) to have 1 guy behind you and one on each side of the bar. If youhave any questions feel free to pm me i have alot of exp with shirts, my gym has 5 guys with state bench records which we are always braking our own records so we do pretty well when it comes to shirts! good luck!
