Default Low T

This is going to seem long-winded, I'm sure, but the other answers here seem thorough and intelligent, so I'm confident the answer I get will be good.

I'm 30 years old and, from my research as a librarian, I have all the symptoms of low testosterone. At the end of 2006, I caught pneumonia and almost died of carbon monoxide poisoning within a short period of time. Since then, I feel weak, listless and have almost no interest in sex. My wife has finally started to complain. And I just recently noticed--to my embarrassment--that my testicles seem to be smaller than they once were.

I'm also bipolar and my idiot doctors keep messing with my bipolar meds, even though I CAN TELL THAT THAT ISN'T THE PROBLEM. I'm not depressed, I'm having some sort of hormonal problem. I can shave on Friday and still be almost clean-faced by Tuesday. I also can't get an erection or, when I can, I can't keep it.

Question one: what could have started this? Question two: what can I tell these quacks to make them hear that I need some sort of hormonal therapy and not more/less Depakote/Risperdal/Topamax/Seroquel or whatever other poison they want to throw at me?

first and foremost get your blood work done then do a search on the internet for normal levels of test and also get your growth hormone tested as well..there are a bunch of things they test for, t3, t4 .lh ect but get your results and do your own comparison to the normal results you find.......
then take all this info to your doc and discuss the medication possibilities
