quad absess

i'm pretty sure i have a deep absess in my right quad. i used sterile technique, but am having pain, swelling, and pretty obvious heat radiating from area post injection x 5 days. i'm on week 8, haven't had this before. what should i do/how should i treat it?

I'm pretty sure you do not have an abscess, this happens from time to time and may take up to 2 weeks to go away. Only if it is getting noticeably worse and extreemly painful after a week-8days would I go to a Dr.
I would treat it with Hot/moist towel compresses, 20min, 4x a day and ibuprofen.

thanks for your advice. i did read up on the other posts but wanted to ask for 'peace of mind' i guess. i appreciate your help. i hope this shit goes away within the next week as you mentioned. i'm doing the hot compresses and the anti-inflammatory.
so aside from the fact that it's discolored, blotchy, and red, hot to the touch, and painful, do i wait for a fever and an unbearable pain to think it's actually an absess?

I get that in my quad for my 1st few shots then it goes away. As Role said, hot/moist compress or I sit with a heating pad on, that works well for me.

You could also have a stripper sit on it, use a doily with proper sterile technique.

(hot towel, ice towel, hot towel, ice towel, repeat!)

I was going to post almost the same question I always inject in my arms I started a test cycle this time I wanted to try my quads because of all the scar tissue I did 2cc test E 250 first day was fine second day quad swelled upand got real hot the pain was crazy felt like someone shot me with a .22 cal pistol is this normal
