Thigh Injection

I injected into my outside mid thigh with a 22 gauge 1 inch needle at a 90 degree angle with no pain at all , in and out smoothly...
However whenever i injected a little more on top of the thigh also midway it went in and and began to become coarse about 5/6's of the way in...

I'm just trying to figure out if the first time i missed the muscle somehow??? or if it actually did hit it
Or if the second time with the rigidness about 5/6's of the way in was the actual penetration of the muscle.

I'm not fat at all, 170 lbs 5'11

I did that the other day. You went between the upper and outter quads and maybe even got into a bit of sheath area as well depending on the height at whick you were at. Could have even been near small connecting tendon. I am starting to learn to just stay on the farthest outer thigh muscle and forget the rest. I dont really think there is a lot of sheath in that central quad area, but not sure. 22 is also pretty good size pin for quad. Some guys load with larger needle and change to 25 prior to injection. That is just too small for me, to long and too much jiggling time. The pin is also pretty much spent after penetrating the vial. You can feel the mucsle tearing sometimes just after one vial entry. You could switch to new pin after loading the syringe.

Yep, that 4rth one i am thinking is the one on the front inside of the knee. You know, the one that only crazy people try to pin. At least I am thinking. I am thinking on the outside there are 3 that overlap where the shorts stop. That is what I was referring too. It any muscle sheath around there and the tendons connecting them near that upper area. It would definitely be sensative. I just look at them and try to get into the middle of one without going too deep. After all, I have to be careful with my puny little musssels.....
