Any and all feedback/comments is appreciated.
33yo relatively advanced trainer (12+ years). 5'11", 200lbs, 8% bf, looking to do a few short cycles over the next couple of years to put on 20lbs of muscle I can keep . . . basically looking for a better-than-average athletic physique.
I liked Ramstein II's thoughts on a four week
Test E cycle, with the slow taper making gains possible over 6 weeks or so, though I appreciated MaxRep's thoughts on the literature not supporting tapering, much to the chagrin of the logic of it to newbies. And then of course there were a couple posts touting short esters as a much better way to go for short cycles, which also seems valid.
As you can see by my options below, I'm not in a huge hurry, nor do I want to be the biggest, strongest guy in the gym, hence the Short, Rational Cycle.
I've tried to take the opinions/expertise of previous posts and come up with two options that I'd like feedback on. Nothing fancy and either would probably work fine, but I'd like feedback nonetheless.
1. Front load 500mg
Test E during week 1, then 250mg/week for remaining 3 weeks.
OR
2. Run 250mg/week of
Test E for four weeks, but start cycle with 200mg of
Test Prop EOD for the first 10 days.
As for my PCT, I was going to start Nolva two weeks after my last shot 40/40/20/20/10, but will have some
clomid on hand and wanted to know if people thought that was even necessary, given the relatively low dose of
test and the short cycle. HCG didn't seem very necessary either. Any other PCT thoughts are welcome as well.
Obviously I'm erring on the side of caution and low sides, and realize that also translates to possibly lower gains. So be it. If I don't get what I'm looking for from this first run, I'll up it next time once I know how my body responds to this.
Thanks in advance. Having this forum available is incredible and the collective wisdom from the moderators is invaluable. Happy Holidays.
