I was wondering if anyone has problems with appetite. I have a tough time getting down what I am supposed to. I am always on the virge of gettick sick and still don't get enough food in. Does anyone use tricks to make their appetite go UP
I find if I keep the protein to carb ratio high {50/50} and eat clean,I feel hungery every 1 1/2 - two hours, sometimes after and hour I'm hungery again.
Dont gorge too many carbs down in one sitting, spread em out nice and even like.......
I was wondering if anyone has problems with appetite. :
The bottom line is it's very difficult to get massive. The training isn't easy, the discipline of a strict schedule isn't easy, getting enough rest isn't easy, having to obtain and take illegal drugs isn't easy... so why should the diet be easy?
If you're serious about getting big, you don't train when you feel like training... you train according to a schedule whether you feel like training or not. Same thing with eating to get big. You eat according to a schedule and being hungry has nothing to do with when you eat. You either have the discipline to eat according to the proper schedule or you don't and if you don't, you'll never be really big.
Many people initially think some of these things are easy. But try doing them All every single day for 5 years. I say 5 years because that's roughly the time it takes most people who do have the mental make-up and where-with-all to get massive, to go from a beginner just starting out, to massive finished product.
What I have found in the dozens and dozens of people I have helped over the past 3 decades is that 99% of them/you, will drop out along the way with one excuse or another. The lack of ability to eat enough is one of the main reasons. I can't count the number of times I've heard "I eat everything in sight, I can't eat any more". My answer is generally something along the lines of "OK, that's fine but be happy with where you are because you're not going to get any bigger if you don't eat more".
For those of you who think you will somehow get bigger without eating right... somehow just the training or drugs will do it... here's a little wake-up call. It takes approximately a 12-18 pound gain in weight to add one inch to the size of your arms.

Interesting. So basically even if you feel full to the max, just eat more.. makes sense. I'll try forcing more food, just hope I don't lose it on the floor. Nice post though.
all your foods have to be calorie rich...watch the sugars and sat..fats...I do have trouble eating as much as I need..I weight 300 lbs and need lots of food during a cycle...what helps me is I take two weight gainer shakes per day, not including Post workout shake...that does help....also try to get a lot of your protein in food...if you use a shake for mere protein (and there is nothing wrong with that) but your getting merely protein calories, nothing else and that makes you feel full....

I must have been doing it right. Because I figured if i had to eat more then that was going to be like training part too. good point about spreading your carbs out.. also good info and great post. "One of the most simple things seem to be the hardest. "
Do like Rippetoe suggests and drink a gallon of whole milk per day on top of your regular diet. That's an extra 2500+ calories and around 160g of protein. A gallon is 16 cups or 8 large glasses. It's really not that hard if you drink it thoughout the day, both with meals and between meals.
Also, if your bodyfat is getting up there, you might be due for a cut before doing more bulking. More bodyfat means greater insulin resistance, higher insulin levels, and higher leptin levels. These hormones (and others) will kill your appetite. If you cut some of the bodyfat, you can reverse these changes, improving your appetite even though your LBM is not much different.
