Howdy, I'm not planning to cycle anytime soon since I have no real source and I just have a bad feeling about junk on the market since people have been talking about Chinese powder shortage etc. I'm in my 30's and I'm to old with to many stretch marks from college ball to want to be Ronnie Coleman anymore. Anyway, people all seem to say to get your bf as low as possible before starting a cycle. I know this is a newbie question, but why is that? Is it only to see gyno better or is there some other reason (ie prove commitment and correct mental attitude). Thanks for the input. |

What Dennis said, but also most AAS play havoc with your cardio...having alot of extra adipose tissue is just going to put a greater strain on your heart...and, unless you are doing a cutter you are going to be eating alot to get the most benefit from the AAS, if you're already carrying too much fat you'll (most likely) only get fatter. Just too many reasons not to get that bf % down prior to starting a cycle. AAS are not the magic bullet alot of folks seem to think they are...if you don't get your shit together and do it right you can end up in much worse shape than when you started. But alot of it has to do with what type of cycle you plan, what your goals are and what your bf% is. just my .02 |

I agree with you guys completely. I have done cycles with low BF and with a higher BF. I have to say I had better results with a lower BF level. This is a huge mental thing. Low BF, you see the changed almost daily. You enjoy the results because you see them! You work harder to see how far you can go in the cycle. High levels of BF, cant see shit and get descuraged. Less results in the long rung. add my 2 cents.. |

What eveyone else said... but about the gyno... I don't know what you mean by having less bodyfat to see the gyno better??? Depending on what's included in your cycle, and how you respond to it, gyno may or may not be a problem. If you're concerned or already have a pre-existing issue, then be sure to have something lined up for precautionary measures. Believe me... if you get gyno, you'll know it before you can see it.

Gyno has nothing to do with it. Its just better to lose the fat either before or during, because if you do it after you cycle, the cycle will be almost completely wasted. Personally I like loosing the fat during the cycle if you already have a good base of muscle on your body. Others may think before the cycle, its personal preference.
