Friend of mine is on sust. 250 and deca week 4. Shot this morning 1.5ml sust. and .5ml deca. when he extracted the pin He said BLOOD shot across the bathrooom about 3-4 feet. Anyone had exp. with this happening?? Freaked him out.. Said it reminded him of something you would see in a movie
Upper Right Glute. He shot 12hrs ago. He's ok.. no other effects... except for bein freaked out,
implement the z-track technique to prevent seeping of blood and oil, I bet you he probably didn't hit it correctly. The dorsogluteal site has BIG VESSELS that run through not TOO far away from the correct injection site.
Yeah pretty much the only way it would shoot that far in such a dramatic fashion is if he went through an artery, I say through because if he went in, he wouldn't be ok right now. The pressure is that high if you go through then pull the needle out quick it will squirt FEET, so therefore with that information his injection placement is royaly and dangerously FUCKED UP!
Word! Venous punctures are common through the skin and above the fascia of the muscle, these are not a big deal at all because your have no chance of injecting into them because they are smaller than the needle (in most cases) you have a better chance of severing one. This was def. an artery or an ateriole if that is indeed what happened. The pressure is just too low in anything besides the systolic path to shoot more than 6 inches or so.
I sliced the outside of my thumb by the nail with a razon once by accident when younger; The cut was only abour 3 mm deep and at an angle. I remember how amazed my dad was at all the blood on the hall walls. I mean, it squirted abour 4-5 feet several times, These had to been just very small arteries in the finger. But the report was impressive;

Not small arteries, they are called arterioles. And yes, your thumb has it's own pulse. Therefore high pressure in the thumb arterioles.
