i geuss anything is possible - i dnt like doing cardio when im on cycle and bulking - but i do a lot of walking to keep the heart near par ... how much are you running - what are your goals? how much cardio are you doing ... how much protein and carbs are you getting?

I'm bulking, training hard, eating clean and heavy. I only do cardio 4 days x 20 minutes of interval running. I posted this question cause my circle of friends think it can hinder your gains by running to much on cycle while i think if you dont do some running you'll gain extra fat that you dont need even on a bulking cycle.

Better to keep lean so you look good with shirt off. As long as you're fueling enough carbs and fats for you're energy expenditure you shouldn't burn protein in a anabolic environment. 20 minutes of cardio is not a lot. Is that thread mill or running down the road? It takes around 10-15 minutes on the treadmill to elevate you body temp and metabolism before you start into your fat reserves.It's just a worm up really. I guess a good measure could be to keep an eye on YOUR gains and the quality/quantity of your friends gains. It also should be taken into account your body type,if you are naturally stocky and bulky smooth. Keep doing the cardio a keep the carbs in check. Then if you are lean lightly muscled,forget the cardio and bulk up, then cut up later. |
