Another board I joined not to long ago did an awfully smart thing and closed ALL threads except ONE. The only one left for now is a general discussion thread mostly about all the shit that has gone down the last week. Its a VERY bad time for discussion related to AAS right now and would hate to see anything happen to any of our bros. A bro from another board was among the busted and committed suicide. Tragic! 36 years old. Anyhow, has any mods here had any thoughts on closing this board down for a few? Just curious.

Why? The board you're referring to was an open source board. Here, we have no domestic sources, no classifieds of any sort and don't even allow discussion about sources.

It's not actually a bad time to be simply talking about things. It is however a very bad time to be a seller of illegal or gray market products.

All we do is talk about various products, training and nutrition. A person can talk about products, illegal products or whatever, all they want, that's not against the law. There's no one here who is doing anything illegal.

Now you all see the smarts Admin showed when he closed the classified section several years back.

You can all hang out here and talk all you want. This is still America. Just follow the board rules and we'll all be fine.

No worries bro! I know you're just wanting everyone to be safe.

Remember, with everything that's going down, it appears to only be the UGL's that have been targeted. The research companies that have gone down appear to have been either owned by or closely associated with a UGL. The boards like SSB that have gone down were owned by a UGL owner.

So sellers of illegal products are probably not sleeping well right now. However, those of us who simply talk about the products shouldn't have anything to worry about. Time will tell but for now, there's no indication that the little (figuratively ) guy buying for his personal use will have anything to worry about.

As the DEA report said, they have collected hundreds of thousands of names. That's way too big and frankly, LE just doesn't have the manpower to go after hundreds of thousands of end users. Most of whom will have used fake names and trying to prove something after the fact from a UGL's records, good luck... it's almost an impossible task.

The last time I checked, the Bill of Rights and First Amendment are still in full force. Combine that with the rules of this board and we have nothing to worry about, because we haven't done anything wrong.

Yes, you bring up a good point. However, I think the small time guys who picked up 300 dollar orders once or twice a year are going to be fine. Those who bought a lot of product, either the home brewers or those who were the front man for themselves and their gym buddies, and consequently placed several thousand dollar orders, may have reason to be concerned.

What's done is done but there will be good people for whom we can only hope the best.

The thing I am worried about is since they claim to have hundreds of thousands of end users information, did they get some of that information from secured emails such as cyber-rights or hushmail?

I don't know where hushmail servers are but many of these articles just state that Governments in many locations contributed to the investigation but doesn't explain how. For example what if Hushmail servers are based in Sweden or Thailand or what not. Could they have contributed to the investigation by helping the DEA crack or access Hushmail servers.

Does that mean we need to find another secured encrypted email service? What others are there out there other then hushmail and cyber-rights. I remember that ziplip was a decent service before they closed down.

I know there will be more information that will come out and there will be new rules to ordering our "supplements". It is terrible that this has set us back but it also has great rewards as well.

When more news come out it will help us all better protect ourselves. IT will help weed out the bad UGL's from the good UGL's. This will help breed innovations, improvements and safety.

Welcome to the new era of Big Government with a capital G. This type of governance and stifling and snooping on percieved private communication methods is no doubt on the rise. The Government (that we vote in) has decided that they want control over many aspects of our lives. While I understand possession and purchase of AAS without a prescription is illegal, I think the underlying theme of oppression in many aspects of our lives is becoming more and more prevalent as time goes on. We should be very careful when voting for our Presidents, and legislators because I assure you after the next election... Big Government is going to get bigger, more powerful, and far more involved in our everyday lives. Our Government in the US, thinks they need to protect us from everything, up to and including ourselves.
