competition tan

i havent done a show in five years. since then i had a mid-life crises and went crazy with the tattoo's. i had a couple small one's last time but i now have short sleeves and a full back piece. how well will i be able to cover them? what is the best product? how big a difference will it make on how i place?

sHOULDNT BE TO MUCH OF A PROBLEM ! My Buddie has sleeves and some frontal and back work and he has taken many firsts, DO alot of tanning and try to cover them with a product like Protan.

I would definetly have someone apply this for you and also do a practice run to see how much you need, But the protan 8oz with brush should work fine

What type of skin tone are you? If have dark hair and dark skin, then you can get plenty tanned enough that the tats will not take away from your physique but mearly be an extra shade on top of them. If you come in pale, then they will distract the judges. Depending on how fast you tan, start tanning about 6-10 weeks out, using a self tanner every day up until the day of the show, and then use your instant tan that morning and you wll be good.

actually i tan religiously every day! i am quite dark but just didnt know how the judges would feel about the tattoo's. i will do a dry run before and have someone else apply the protan or whatever it is. it just seems to take a little away from the definition but under the lights on stage may not be as bad as in my dimly lit bathroom.
