Customs Question Help Please******

My pack has been sitting in customs JFK since last sat well last night at 6pm it finally cleared. Its growth from china why in the hell did it take so long to clear. Now im kinda leary on accepting it since i do have to sign for it since its usps express. My question is is this a common expereince for it to be in customs for a week?

they still have the dam pack in jfk it cleared on sat y in the hell hasnt it been put on a dam plane to my area
