| That's a fair question. Though I like RoleModel's response, I can think of few oils that are darker that aren't mean for your crankcase, like the heavier olive oils or dark sesame oil. Darker vegetable oils, however, may mean they've been sitting too long (or – gasp! – used for something else) and that's the thing to be wary of. Solo |

| Sesame would be on the darker side and grape seed on the lighter side. I personally prefer grape seed oil, smooth as butter. Unless its human grade then its usually smooth anyways.
