Default Deca & Propecia

I have read somewhere that Deca and Propecia are not good to do at the same time. Can someone please weigh in on this. Thanks

You won't need Propecia whilst on Deca since nandrolone is weakened at the 5AR enzyme. As such it is less of a risk for androgenic side-effects such as benign prostate hypertrophy (BPH) and androgenetic alopecia (MPB). Both the prostate and the scalp namely have high concentrations of the 5AR enzyme. Hope this helps.

Shreddewheat (do I recognize you from Elite?) Thank you. I use propecia year round and will be doing test with the deca so it'll be useful in that respect. I posted because I read someone's post elsewhere that made it sound like there was negative consequences with combining deca and propecia...... but I didn't think so. Thanks again.

Deca is NOT to be used with Propecia, I forgot exactly why but it's abig no no.

I just came off a cycle with T and Propecia. If T causes hair loss for you Propecia may slow it but it won't stop it. I staqrted losing so much hair week 7 of a 500 mg per week cyp cycle I stopped

Deca and Propecia

Hi Bill,

You were kind enough to answer my question this week and post it on Meso-Rx. Thanks. Now here’s the problem. From what I’ve read (By Patrick Arnold and someone else who I can’t recall) mixing any Nor-hormones (Deca, Nor-Andros, etc.) with Finasteride exacerbates hair loss! Is this true?

Denis

Yes, although I would not put it that way. Rather, if you do not use finasteride, then nandrolone is converted in the scalp to a less-potent compound. So to a very substantial extent it is deactivated. But if you use finasteride then this deactivation does not take place and the scalp sees full strength nandrolone. Nandrolone then becomes comparable to other synthetics with regard to effect on hair.

thank you lou123....................what to do now though. To be honest I want to run the Deca more then the test (I have severe joint probs) Don't want to run the Deca alone though (obvious reasons) Is there something else I can use in the meantime to help with the hair............or does anyone know of another joint easing compound thta I could run and still use propecia. Your input is greatly appreciated.

Tatt,
You could always shave your head; it's not such a bad look these days. I've run Test E and Deca and had no problem with hair loss. Some are lucky I guess. I think when you've got a family history of MPB; then the risk is amplified. Your rationale for using Deca for the joints and tendons is a good one. Maybe take 400mg per week of Deca with 200-300mg of Test E. You'll get good enough gains with this amount and it won't be overly harsh on the system (sides)

No offense to anyone.
But I really think that this is 100% theory and not factual, and old theory at that! Deca has a high affinity to the scalp and prostate, yet exerts very little effect and is actually sort of protective since it has such an high affinity it tends to prevent other more androgenic steroids from binding. I do not see how by reducing the 5aR enzyme which has little to absolutely no effect on Deca anyway, that somehow it would then cause something that has such a strong binding and very little activity to somehow grow mutant abilities and screw up your hair or prostate. Just doesn't make any sense with the knowledge we have now days - to me at least.
