Default Deep infection? Necrotizing tissue?

I'd like to think I'm pretty anal retentive about proper injection technique and precautions but I think I screwed up last Thursday night with my sust 250 injection....

I always use new needles (one for drawing, one for injecting) and use plenty of alcohol on the appropriate surfaces. But my last glute injection seemed wrong from the beginning. It felt like I was injectoin through a piece of cork. But one it was in and I aspirated everything went fine. It hurt a little more than normal but I assumed it was probably the rubbing alcohol.

The next day the injectoin site is red at the insertion and slightly bruised. I freak out and think it may be an infection. But I keep my wits and decide to take the usual precautions and wait until today (ice and careful examination). No fever or chills - I felt fine and worked out regularly. The redness went away after 2 days and I breathed a huge sigh of relief and started to work through the scar tissue/existing lump. Today you can hardly tell that I ever injected there...

I threw out the old bottle for fear that there might be some contaminents but I still can't figure out how I even got in this situation. This is a new one for me....

At 5 days post injection, am I in the clear? Do I still run the risk of a deep tissue infection? Necrotizing soft tissue? Any abscess concerns?

Thanks for your advice and input!

Bro, it sounds like you're suffering form a mild case of Obsessive/Compulsive disorder.
I think everybody gets the odd red lump and knot.{I know it's not an explanation}
I always wipe the top of the vial with the alcohol swab before putting needle through too.

when you make your next order please ask your source for a new supplement called chillthafukout. It is also referred to as "chill pills".

Relax buddy everything will be ok. If all of the symptoms are gone then it is fairly easy to say that you are in the clear and do not need to worry about necrotizing tissue(haha). Throwing away the vial for fear of contamination? Why dont you send it to one of the starving meatheads on this board. I am sure they will test it for contamination.

Just curious how many bars of soap do you go through in a day?

its called scar tissue.it happens when you poke yourself a lot in the same area.thats why it was hard to peirce.

tossing the bottle was a complete waste.

..yeah, relax dude, you'll be fine. I don't normally get any pain from injecting and sometimes even resting the needle on the skin, it just kinda slips in and it's a piece of cake. However, everynow and again, it's not so easy and it takes quite a bit of pressure to break the skin. Once I'm in that situation, it always bleeds after, and I get a knot or the whole area feels bruised for a couple of days. Keep things clean and you'll be ok. Incidentally, using an alcohol swap on the injection site makes my skin go really tight and makes it harder to inject, so I tend to shower first, use a swab and wander round for a minute or two. If I can feel moisture from the swap still, I know the pin won't go in.

They may just be me, but I swear, it's true!!

Sounds like you botched the injection. It would take longer for the site to become infected and painful from injection. Keep antibiotics on hand just in case. Pm I can help. Bp

If you push the gear in too quick you can bruise from the spraying of the gear in the injection site.
Excesseve movement maybe?
Rotating sites is a good idea.
