I know everyone and their mother has a DNP log on this site, so here's another one. I thought the few women on this board might appreciate a female perspective. I'm 21, 5'1" tall, and I have no idea what I weigh because I'm afraid of the scale right now. This is the most I've ever weighed, that's for sure. Probably around 130 pounds.
I'm taking a multivitamin, pyruvate, calcium, fiber, and Benadryl along with the DNP. I'm going to run a 15-day cycle, starting with 100 mg for days 1-5, 200 mg for days 6-10, and 300 mg for days 11-15. If I feel okay on 300, I might add 5 days of 400 mg for a 20-day cycle. I'm eating a clean diet, about 1300-1400 calories.
Today is Day 1. Obviously, no side effects yet. I've been drinking a lot of water and will continue to do so. I'm not doing any intense cardio like I usually do. I'm just walking a few miles, at night because it's summer here. If anyone has any advice or suggestions, I would love to hear it! I'll keep this thing updated.
Thanks, Musclehead! Day 2 is going well, no major side effects yet. My skin feels a little warm, but it's not uncomfortable. I also have a slight headache, which I had yesterday too, but Excedrin takes care of that. I might have to buy some V8 juice soon.
Be careful ... 300mg per day is an awfully heavy load to start out (that is a moderately high load, imo, for 6'0 male body builders almost twice your mass). And, please realize it takes 5 days at 300mg per day to build up the full effects of the dosing. If this is first cycle, consider dropping down to 100-200 mg per day for the first 5 days, then upping dosage 100mg for another 5 days, etc. etc. so that the sides dont get ahead of you. at 200mg per day, your body will be burning an extra ~700 kcal per day. Assuming you are burning approximately 2000 kcal per day normally, plus 700 kcal per day dnp factor, plus eating only 1400 (conservatively) kcal per day, your daily caloric deficit will be (+1400-2000-700 = -1300 kcal per day). This equates to a deficit of 9100 kcal per week, or 9100/3500 = 2.6lbs fat loss per week. No need for you to go higher than 200mg per day on your first run, in my opinion.
But, I am certainly not you, and make no claim to know what is best ... just some guidance / concern to be careful, as the 36 hour half-life can make new dnp users over-confident as the blood plasma levels build, at which time there is no easy relief if over-dosed.
Please keep us all posted ... drink plenty of fluids, too!
Swimm, I noticed you posted a figure of 200mg of DNP burning an extra 700 cal / day.......
I have never seen these numbers before? I'm not doubting your knowledge, I'm just wondering where the calculations came from.
and on a side note, it appears that she is starting with 100mg for 5 days, then bumping up to 200mg for another 5 days, then adding an additional 100mg for another 5 days.
Shame on you, Swimm, you didn't read my first post carefully, lol. But I forgive you. End of Day 3 here, and still feeling good. 100 mg is such a small dose, I probably won't feel it until I go up to 200 on Wednesday. That's fine with me. I'm not looking forward to the side effects, but I know they come with the territory, so I'll be prepared.
Subscribed. I'll be interested to follow this. It's not too often that I see logs by lighter females who slowly increase their dosage like you are (which is the way I think you should go about it). I agree with what Swimm said about not expecting to go too high with the dosage. If your temperature goes over 99.1 or you start to feel excessively warm or lethargic, be sure to back off on the dosage, even if it means settling at a low dose, like 200 mg/day.
My apologies ... should have read all the details, and didnt.
Here are some rough calculations for ponderance based on general BMR of 2300kcal per day:
75mg / day = plasma level (steady state) of 203 = 11% rise in BMR = 253 kcal
150 mg / day = 406 = 22% = 506
225 mg / day = 609 = 33% = 759 kcal
Again, this is rough, as the body may adapt to the dnp at some point ... but hopefully you can see the mathematical trend and effects.
Again, sorry for overlooking the details ... hopefully this makes up for my lack of diligence.
