well ive been working out at my new gym now for about 6 weeks and on fri, i had a breakthrough. my strengh has gone up and i felt way stronger on friday, im up on the plates by 20lbs since starting, i said it to my gym owner and his reply was "i told your body would click eventually, it wont take long". time to start pushing it further now, still working clean, no steroids. ive discoverd i have amazing workouts now from consuming nearly 300g of pasta 1 and a half to 2 hours before my workout

try eating straight honey out of the bottle before your workout. I get pretty good pumps and increased endurance. Kind of creates a small insulin spike. Do the same thing after your workout also.

added an extra 20lbs to the bicep curl bar in last night session and did the full sets, went to total failure on the last set though, also put an extra 10lbs on the cable curl machine aswell, think ive been underestimating my strength but my lifts are really starting to rise now since joining the new gym. im starting to get that roaring aggression running through me now whilst lifting and more confidence. diet is still consistent throughout

Hyrdolised whey is 'pre-digested' and broken into smaller chains of amino acids. This allows it to cross the intestinal barrier very rapidly. Combined with the insulin spike from honey, glucose, etc... this means that post-workout the protein you need is instantly available to the muscle cells. Most people consider there to be a 15 minute window after a workout to provide the ideal anabolic environment. But that's not the whole story. You also need gradual release during the night. To accomplish this I do the following: 1) whey immediately when waking up without honey 2) whey post-workout with honey 3) casein immediately before sleep The casein clots in the stomach and has a gradual release profile (5-7 hours), whereas the whey is rapidly absorbed and utilised. If you don't want to pay to buy to different kinds of protein powders (whey and casein) you can use low-fat cottage cheese in place of the casein before bed. Remember, whey is by-product of the cheese process and casein is the protein binder that actually makes up the cheese. For the pre-sleep protein, don't use honey, glucose, etc... as the goal is not to quickly drive protein into muscles but instead to provide a constant anabolic environment throughout the sleep period.
