Talking Fruit

Hey there!

I have a quick question about daily fruit intake. Is a fuji apple, 25 red grapes, and a banana too much fruit throughout the day? I know I am supposed to eat fruit, but someone told me that I am putting too much sugar from fruit in my diet. True or False?

I feel like I already know the answer, but this person really got me thinking. If I have too much fruit, what should I substitute for the awesomeness of fruit? I guess I could post my diet if any of you have a question about it. Just let me know and I'll post it. Thanks so much.

It all depends on your goals and what other sugars you are taking in daily...also fruit is natural and i prefer alot of it unless im trying to get exremely shredded..if your adding some weight/bulking its great to throw some fruit in there sparatically to increase calories..from what you said i dont believe its to much fruit at all but again I dont know your goals

Dzaster pretty much said it - but no its not "too much fruit" unless you'lre cutting ... then i wouldnt touch fruit period. I love grapes, bananas and apples. Eating fruit is no different than eating bread ... fruit is a great souce of carbs, excellent for fuelling workouts

Dzaster,

I plan on doing a 500mg/wk Test Cyp cycle whenever I get my PCT, but my goals for right now are just to stay where I am at. I am 5'10" 194lbs 13.5% bodyfat as of yesterday. Should I eat more fruit or am I right where I want to be?

Are you on cycle now? I can't wait, this will be my 1st cycle after about 2 years of research and all that jazz.

Breakfast -
2 packs quaker instant oatmeal
1 cup of OJ
1 Opti-men Multi Vitamin
1 - 200mg Caffeine tablet

Snack 1 -
Banana
15 or so Natural whole almonds

Lunch -
Blazing Buffalo Chicken (deli meat sliced thin) sandwich on 6-grain whole wheat sanwich
a Fuji Apple
15 or so Almonds ( I sometimes wait until after work to eat the almonds)

Snack 2 -
25 red grapes
15 or so almonds

Snack 3 - Before workout
25g Whey Protein Shake (optimum nutrition) with water (sometimes I only have a post workout shake)
1 Opti-men Multi Vitamin
I'd like to add an NO product here too, ie NO Xplode, Super Pump250. I'm not set on what I am going to get though.

Snack 4 - Post workout shake 25g whey (I know youre supposed to have carbs right after workout, what should I add here for carbs?)

Dinner -
Baked chicken cutlet or whatever the wife wants to make me. Might be chili with ground turkey, it might be turkey burgers, or baked tilapia with lemon juice.
Some sort of greens (green beans, salad, or maybe broccoli)
This week we are having some red potatoes with dinner. cha ching

Bed time snack-
25g casein protein shake
ZMA

I drink at least a gallon of water per day. This is split pretty evenly throughout the day.

Anything I should add or change? Should I make this a new thread?

Yup on week 7 of a Test/Deca cycle...from just a quick glance you gotta up the calories and protein intake..protein at EVERY MEAL/SNACK!!! Add some cans of tuna in there with your snacks for sure, its quick and easy..Start your day off with eggs and meat on top of those oats bro and every 2 hours get some kind of protein in there with your fruit..i can help you out if you like, when you planning on starting your gear?

Cans of tuna are easy, and I like them so that'll be good. Other than cans of tuna, how should I up my protein intake? Anything else to up my caloric intake? On cycle should I up it even more? I plan on starting the cycle in about 2 weeks. Once I figure out where I will get my PCT from, I'll be good to go. I have everything else. Thanks man, I really appreciate your help.

I would add alto more starches to the diet. During a bulk I eat oatmeal with every meal I make at home or at work except for my last one before bed.

Yo here is a list of foods I personally use:

Eggs (cooked all kinds of ways, mainly egg whites and hardboiled)
Turkey bacon
Wheat bread
Peanut butter
Yogurts
Skim Milk
Cheese
Ground turkey
Lean Beef
Assorted Vegetables(peppers, onions, carrots, peas)
Assorted Fruits
Sweet Potatoes
Oatmeal
Tuna
Fish filets
Pasta on occasion
Almonds and assorted nuts
Steaks
Chicken breasts
Protein Powders
Thats just a small sample, I give myself one cheat meal a week (usually the weekend) where i eat whatever i want (unless im shredding) like pizza or something like that..honestly i thrive off of eggs, i boil an 18 packsat a time and take some to class with those quick tuna on the go things, makes a great in between meals, meal..its easier for me these days being out of the military and not working just going to school..i eat nonstop practically all day...pretty lean and healthy too, i used to do all out bulks which suck and are unhealthy
