Default Frustrated - Trying To Avoid Same Mistakes

Hey guys,

First, I wanted to say thanks to all the knowledgable people here - whether I have spoken to you privately or not, you have given me ample insight and feedback on what I have been doing, some correct, some incorrect.

I'm 31, and been working out for more than half my life. I used to be an ameatuer powerlifter back in my twenties (before my natural test started to fade as I have gotten older) and always had a big physique, I got into powerlifting because I thought it was the natural thing to do for someone of my stature and because the people I worked out with were training and living that way as well.

Back then, I was 260lbs (up until about 15 months ago) and didn't care what I ate as long as it made me strong, I had\have a rediculous gym ethic so although I gained fat, I was immensly strong for my age and weight class considering I was drug free. Time passed, a few car accidents, a career, a failed marriage and I gave up for awhile.

Now, I have been back hardcore for over a year at the gym (7 days a week, 5 days lift, 2 days cardio) and I did a cycle of 300mg sust for 8 weeks (finished about 12 weeks ago) and I looked awesome at the end, I was VERY happy, at 220 and 18%BF. Now those of you who think thats on the high side (and it is), but for someone who was always well over 30% BF, I thought I looked amazing, very vascular and big.

The bad news, now 12+ weeks later, I am down to 202lbs around 14% - I look SMALL. However, I have done a rediculous amount of research, reading not only these forums, but medical journals, and various books on muscle enhancement, diets, and the like - I have read Rob Faigin's Natural Hormone Enhancement and Intelligent Exercise, as well as, Di Pasquale's Anabolic Solution (i.e. Metabolic Diet). I think all this information is overloading my brain, as there are so many contradicting information, to whether or not you're on juice, plays a significant role (obviously). I'm currently on the NHE/Metabolic diet (both Faigin and DiPasquale's diet are similar) in an effort to kick my test and GH levels higher, but I think I went overboard and now I am overtrained. My shoulders are born worn and I just hurt my right Rhomboid Minor doing shrugs on weight am I used to warming up with.

I am at my wits' end here. My question is should I go back on another cycle, or stick with the natural way for a few more weeks? The ultimate goal, is to get to 225 (BTW, I'm 5'10") @ 10 BF% and stay there long term. I'm dedicated to doing just that and over the last 15+ months (not to mention years of training), have only concentrated on achieving this goal. I did just get (2) 10ml 300mg bottles of sust (Gen-Pharma), but I have not started (my guy couldn't get TestE). Although, I am quite certain taking another cycle will get me back up to the 220+ range and I will look good again, I am concerned what will happen when I am off (yes, I am aware of PCT and I did follow the recommended procedure). I don't want to go through all the hard work, time, effort and money to get there and come back to where I am now (which is the smallest I have been in well over 10 years).

I can only postulate that because for years I was just eating anything I wanted, and now adhering to a strict diet for a year, my body is now acclimating to a more healthy routine, I don't know (BTW - I take in approx 3000 cals a day, if that helps).

If anyone has advice or can point me to additional references for knowledge, I would appreciate any help given.

did you run PCT? if so what? sounds to em like you didnt and that is why you lost your gains

that sux - I would suggest another 10 weeks cycle with test e or cyp to begin with and then PCT and after that we set up a schedule of recovery before another cycle is planned

Deacon,

Thanx for the reply, your posts are chuck full of knowledge BTW - thanx for those.

I did do a PCT, but it was AE's Extreme PCT. I don't know if that made a difference or not. For my next cycle, I did get liquid Novladex (research grade). I assume its 40/40/30/20 ED each week 10-12 days after last shot?

Also, as I mentioned previously, I can't get Test E or C; I could only get Sust. Would you still run 10 weeks of 500mg (in my case its 600mg) straight through? Would you pyramid up and down?

You think another cycle will do it? I don't want to yo-yo that drastically.

Another question, what's the best form of PCT for running a cycle such as this - would it be just Novladex at 40/30/20/20 ED, using .5 of Arimidex EOD instead of Novladex, or a combination of both?

nolva 40 mgs 14 days then 20 mgs 14 days no ramping

yes run your sus at 600 if you want and run it for 10 weeks straight dose no ramping up or down

NO A-dex for PCT!!!! just nolva or clomid or both

You can run A-dex during the cycle for anti estro concerns

So you ran anabolic extremes supplement as PCT after your last cycle?
No nolva or clomid?
Bro if thats the case theres why you lost your gains.AE pct is just an over the counter supp not good for after a cycle of real test.
You have liquid nolva now?(real stuff from a board sponser)That was what you needed after your last cycle hence why you didnt keep your gains

Gracias Deacon and Dvs33,

I understood that Adex is taking along with cycle and not at end (I just didnt know if it could be used in lieu of tamoxifen citrate), but will it help keep gains or is it just to combat the effects of gyno?

Would it be more beneficial to break up the dosage in two per week (2 X 300mg), or should I just do it all in one shot (600mg)?

Does it matter? I see that some ppl break it up into 2 shots per week like Test E, and some just take it straight in one shot. What's the half life of Sust?
