Hi all, total n00b here; i've got a few quick questions. I'm training for a tryout here at my university, and the tryout is a pretty simple thing. It's a 1.7 mile run, followed by pushups, followed by a 300 meter dash, followed by situps, followed by a 100 yard sprint, then pullups, then a 4x400 1st lap no weight, second lap 15#, third 45#, fourth fireman carry a person round the track, then some sort of surprise. I have been getting into running shape, but being a big guy, I'm real low on pushups, situps are too slow, and pullups are...a struggle. I've been lifting, but i'm seeing very small results. I was wondering if there's a specific type of gear i'd want to check out that wouldn't hinder running, but would let me improve strength without having to cycle. The tryouts in 6 weeks. Is there a type of steroid that would allow me to take it, cut, and train endurance simultaneously? It's probably worth mentioning i've fallen far out of shape, I'm 6'5 240 ~19% BF. So i need to do some serious cutting(think chansaw) Thanks for any help. |

It was poor planning. I have been training for a good time, but two injuries put me out of the game for a long time, and i thought i was just going to quit. But I've made up my mind to push and just do it.

sorry for DP I forgot to mention, my diet is more or less a fat loss diet. usually 4-5 small meals(standard dtuff, protein shakes, small MRP, tuna, chicken breast, cottage cheese and yogurt...etc) I train everyday (hills, fartleks, stairs, sprints) and i lift 3x a week (usually full body, with lots of leg work) I am doing 100 pushups everynight(usually have to drop to knees after about 15...long way to go) I'm trying to do situps everynight, but my back gets extremely sore due to injuries, and pull ups are nearly embarrasing at the gym. |

Sore back..better watch that on your heavy leg days..wear a back brace..sounds like you need lot's of core work....can you put off your physical fitness test coming up in 6 weeks to the next semester ?Not good to set unrealistic goals.Glad to hear you are going to push yourself...I found that doing pushups every night really helped me go from being able to do only 30 to doing 50 plus in a short period of time.

thanks for the support and concern. My back was injured about 6 months ago, so it's just pain leftover from that. Doctors tell me i can do anything despite pain, so i'm trusting them. as far as putting it off, no, unfortunately it's pretty much now or never. I realize the goal is tough, but i won't use the word unrealistic. I'll be competing against other people, so there's no set goal, just to be the best. |

What is clen, and how is it used. I had friends that were on clen, and they said it gave them horrible cramps that lasted for like 10 minutes. Same stuff? The sport isn't a sport. It's a position called big bass drum, a prestigious crew in our marching band. We move and play the world's largest drum.(550 pounds, 11 feet tall.) |

The answer to my question shouldn't involve my goal. No matter what I'm wroking towards, i have that tryout coming up, and I would truly appreciate some help. Would it help if i mentioned that here's a full scholorship at $32,000 a year university on the line? I'm dropping off of a D1 football team to do this, so it obviously means a lot to me. Please refrain from belittling my goals; however menial your grandiose life may make them seem.

My bad n00b... So it is drum. Not a fish. I get it now. I just assumed, if it were a drum, then it would be on wheels. But with the physical fitness requirements, it becomes obvious. I mean, if you're going to march around carrying an 11-foot, 550lb drum AND play it, then hell yeah you need steriods. |
