Default gun + aas in your house = more trouble if your busted?

i remember reading a thread about a source on this board who got popped. the article said they found guns with him and i remember a memmer commenting that he will probably get in more trouble even if the guns were registered.

is this true? i would like to own a gun and keep it at my house, but say for some reason i get arrested and they find me with a firearm and AAS, and i in more trouble than if i just have AAS?

If the guns are legal and registered to you, and you have a license you should be fine..

There is no problem having a million guns in your house as long as they are not used in the commision of the crime - guys who get in trouble are those who are already convicted felons and then get busted again with guns in their possession - now that is an extra charge.

But just to have guns in the house and be using gear - one does not relate to the other.

Now if you shoot up 3 gms of test and then go down to the loacl tavern and start blazing away - that would be a different story.

Default 2 issues.

2 issues.

1. The guns must be legally owned by you depending on the law of your state or that is an illegal possession charge.

2. Even if the guns are owns by you legally, you can't use them in an illegal manner/the commission of a crime. e.g., you have a properly owned, registered firearm in your home according to the laws of your state, but when law enrorcement knocks on your door you stupidly decide to grab that firearm and try to blast your way out the back window. On the opposite side, if they just happen to come across that same firearm during a search of your home, you should have no problems (possession of legitimate home protection/sportsman usage that many registration papers literally say on them), despite what else you may have in your home, you legally possess it. (Just don't don't have it litererally sitting on top of something illegal where they can somehow claim that the firearm is used as part of protection the protection of your "illegal business" if they drum up some trafficking empire charge).

This is real broad, if you really need the specifics, contact a real attorney.

I would think if you were selling from your residence with firearms present that they would tack on possesion of a firearm while commiting a felony. even if they only got you for being an end user I'm sure they would confiscate your guns having firearms while in the commission of a felony. If they they only had possesion on you they may not go after the added charge but I'm sure they would confiscate themhaving firearms while in the commission of a felony. If they they only had possesion on you they may not go after the added charge but I'm sure they would confiscate themhaving firearms while in the commission of a felony. If they they only had possesion on you they may not go after the added charge but I'm sure they would confiscate them

if you are dealing it is a bad idea even if they are registered in the write up they will make sure they mention that fireamrs were found and same deal in court as to paint a picture of you as this big bad gangster drug dealer. they can not legally get you in any more trouble but it just sounds real bad in court and could alter decisions i would think

Ad234 has it - you should check with your local laws, they are different in different states...if your in the US...some are more strict than others.

if they are legally owned and locked up in the case and the cops come to bust you there will be no extra charge - if there is a good attorney will blow it out of the water.

Its like a domestic abuser who beats his old lady - they dont get an extra charge for guns in the house unless they are used in the beating. But as someone pointed out above - they will probably use it to make you sound worse in the news.
And they will also take them at least for a while.

Bullshit Bullshit...read the law guys
They are busting and sending to federal prison DRUG USERS / Weed Blowers here.
It is a federal crime for users of ILLEGAL DRUGS ( INC. STEROIDS)
to be in possession of any firearm. Go look at a yellow sheet that you fill out at you local gun dealer's shop..they ask that question on there as well. So if you are a user of illegal drugs and have a gun you can go to federal prison.
