Default Hernia in my belly button???

I think I may have a hernia in my belly button...Seems to be a growth or something in there that I can push on and it somewhat goes away. It's also really not that painful and I can still lift heavy but I am scared it might get worse.

Or could this be the imfamous gh belly button? LOL

I was thinking about chilling out on the squats and deads to see if it goes away.

Any opinions????

see a doctor. have surgery. take a few months off of lifting.

in that order.

make sure they put a mesh in when it gets fixed.

DAmn! A few months off? I don't know if I could handle that.

Anyway I have been putting off seeing a doc for awhile now and I should get some tests done so I will make an appointment.

Hernia in the belly button is nothing I've had one for 10 years. There's no real discomfort correct? If not don't let it bother you.it won't effect you and it usually won't get wider. Its the hernia down by your balls thats the worst!! It is an extremely painful op. my .02 Corv

all hernias can cause trouble, just because it isn't hurting doesn't mean there won't be problems with it.

best bet is to get it checked out and fixed with a mesh. healing time i've heard is anywhere from 6-10 weeks before being back in the gym, a little while longer before you'll be able to go heavy again.

I had 3 umbilical hernia repairs. The doc finally put the mesh in for the third one. I was out of the gym at least 6 weeks. That was 15 years ago and I haven't had another problem since.

Thanks guys. Im gonna have the doc check it out and hold off on the heavy squats and deads for awhile.
