sometimes when I need something from my dr. I tell him I have read about what ever it is I need and I ask why or why it wouldn't be good for me. I've gotten my dr. to write scripts for certain types of antibacterials and nizoral 2% shampoo. If I were you, I would tell him that I read about HCG on webMD while I was doing research for low test levels. Ask if he thinks it is a good idea and he will basically tell you yes or no. No harm in asking in this fashion either.

I have everything I need except HCG.. I haven't been around in a while and I see it's getting harder and harder to find a source. Though I'm not complaining this is how it should be. I will go back to my doc next week, I printed some info on here about why androgel isn't the answer to low test levels.. Just hope he prescribes it, If not. I'll be doing a lot more reading. superbee@hushmail.com |

Even then Big K they're not going to definetely prescribe it. I'm on HRT for life and my Endo wouldn't prescribe HCG for me as she sees no point in doing so. In saying that, I think this bitch has killed the small amount that my body was naturally producing by not prescribing it to me. I've been on HRT for the last year with no PCT or recovery drugs. I've gone to a different doctor but again, I was knocked back. I might have to go into the office with one of swales stickies.

K, He did say he went to another doc and next time he might bring some off Swale's stickies. I think bringing Swale's recommendations printed out would be a good idea. Too bad we don't have his real name with all of the alphabet attachments. It would lend credibility. Still an open minded intelligent doc should recognize the reality of the knowledge. I have order HCG right from a pharmacy on the internet last time I paid $60.00 for 5000 iu not as cheap as underground but cheaper then running back and fourth trying to find a doc. I have been on HRT for 2 1/2 years and my doc wont give it to me either he says the same thing no point and has not been proven to do anything. On my last visit I told him I have been using it to try and get a script, he just said great if it works keep using it but he would not write a script he said it was against clinic policy. |

I wish I could just start switching docs... The nearest endocronologist is 50 miles from me... All the urologist's around here doesn't know anything about this. I am always honest to the doc and when he finds out I have low T levels he puts me on androgel. He also told me that androgel will not shut down natural t production as he said they would not of made it if it did this. But then again I see people saying it does.. I'm lost... How come this doc i'm paying isn't up to date on treating hormone levels which he claims he is. |

Androgel will shutdown the HPTA. Your doc got his piece of paper(diploma) and is unwilling to learn new things. Swale is just the opposite. I'd communicate with Swale. He might be able to steer you in the right direction for a good doc. Freedomfighter |
