I am intrigued by this statement as I have 150mg caps of crystal DNP headed my way. I've heard that crystal is only 75% as strong as powder, and I've also heard that it is not true and crystal = powder as far as mg per mg strength. Conciliator could you clear this up for me?
DNOC is 3-5x as strong as DNP on a mg-for-mg basis. In other words, 25mg DNOC is roughly equivalent to 100mg DNP. While Cutting and Tainter were researching DNP here in the US during the 1930's, Dobbs and Robertson were studying DNOC in England. The two disagreed over which uncoupler was best suited for weight loss. DNOC was never big in the US, but was used over in England at the same time DNP was being used here. Ultimately, both were linked to cataracts and removed from the market.
why hasnt DNOC been popular in BB? is it because DNOC is more toxic then DNP
hi,
does anyone have a recommendation for dnp doses for women? im not looking to do a long cycle, maybe 8 or 9 days? is the weight loss effect for women a lot less than foe men? i read somewhere that a woman lost only 1.5 pounds on it while her partner lost a lot more while having the same side effects and a similar dosage?
thanks guys,
also, any women on here used this have any iformation about the eggs thing, and whether dnp getting into the ovum effects fertility or causes any defects?
thanks again

thanks guys,
At 200 mg a day it didn't work for my wife much at all after 10 days she lost 2 lbs and was miserable. It works great for me even at low doses.

The available evidence and history suggest that DNP is not teratogenic (does not cause birth defects) and that DNP does not affect long-term fertility. An estimated 500,000 people took DNP in the 1930's and the majority of them were likely women. Birth defects and infertility were never noted in any case reports. That's not to say DNP is decidedly and absolutely safe (for example, alcohol, which was eventually linked to FAS), but the evidence and history thus far does not indicate that it's dangerous in these regards. If it does cause infertility or birth defects, the incidence rate is so low that it has escaped notice. Good rat and mouse models don't demonstrate teratogenicity with therapeutic doses. Further, the EPA's Report on Nitrophenols states that "Based on the available data it appears unlikely that the dinitrophenols pose a teratoqenic hazard to humans. Further investigations on this question are warranted."
In fact, there's good reason to think that low doses of DNP can be beneficial. By reducing or even eliminating mitochondrial oxidative stress, DNP has a protective effect. For example, there are now three studies in three different species showing that chronic, low-dose DNP administration results in extension of lifespan.
My personal opinion is that "fried eggs" and birth defects are highly unlikely, especially if DNP is present only around the time of conception. I also think that no pregnant women should be taking any diet pills.
thanks guys. that log was good, but that 10lb loss was over weeks, guessing it doesn't work the same for women as men. Maybe we don't eat enough calories.
