Default How young is to young for AAS

I see this a lot on this board. Someone comes on here and says he's 18 or 19 and most guys responed with "you're way to young for AAS" . I agree with whats said, I didn't do any till I was in my 30's. But what if you're goal is to be a pro and someday compete in the Olympia,I mean how early are these guys starting?

I know flex wheeler was juicing from the first day he ever walked in to a gym at 14 or 15 i think.
If you want to be a pro you cant afford to wait until your thirties.
If you start training at 16 i would wait until youre in youre early 20,s

Just to clear up any misunderstanding. I am not talking about myself, I'm in my fourties, my goal is to stay as fit and healthy as I can.

But when looking at these guys ( pros ) I mean they had to start early, some of these guys are pretty young.

i did my first at 18 which was very small and pretty short. took a year off, everything was fine, started up my 2nd, took a year off and now im on my 3rd which begins in 2 weeks. ive been lifting for just about 6 yrs and it took 3 before i crossed over to the darkside. so far ive had no problems, but kind of regret starting it so young.

I don't think age is as relevant as level of development. If an 18 year old is 6'00" 250 lbs at 5 % bodyfat as a natty and decides to go on steroids to further his potential career in bodybuilding I don't see why he should he should wait.

I like to see somebody put in 3-5 years of hard lifting first so they are at least somewhat close to their natural potential. Another advantage to waiting is you are more likely to have your training/diet at a level that will allow you to take full advantage of your gear. Just my two cents.

Realistically? 7 years old. Honestly, younger than that and don't have the arm length to hit the machines correctly...

Good one. lol

I would guess these guys are starting pretty early, late teens early 20's, But I don't think there health is there top concern.

I think age is less important than training age. If you've put in 4 or more years of serious, and I do mean SERIOUS, training(complete with requisite nutrion and eveything else) then you can juice. If you haven't done that, then I don't care if you're 75.

Most people will say 25, I started at 19, I do think experience is important and 25 probably is a good age just because your age is relevent to your body developement, obviously everyone is different but it is still relevent. I also don't think you should start untill you hit a plateau.

I started at 19 myself. I dont believe that age matters though. A reasonable teen would research and investigate what could happen to him or her. I think that if they want to get to their goals faster then by all means go ahead. But even if they train bad and eat like shit I'll say go ahead cause they are losing their own money cause they havent researched enough about gear to do a damn. If you eat like shit and train like shit, expect shit. But a mature individual would use gear when he feels that he is mentally and physically prepared for gear and are aware of the risk and still want to take the chance. And if those goals are achieved then by all means good luck.
