I hope you will be able to hear me out and give me some advice 'cos i don't know who to turn to...I apologise the message is kinda long but I wanted to be as specific as possible so you will be able to create a clearer picture in your head.
Is it normal for blood pressure to got up during a cycle? I've been on 500mg
Test Enanthate a week (for the past and my BP can shoot up to about 165, usually at the end of the day when I feel tired (although the diastolic usually less than 80) when I first sit down and then drop to around 140ish...is this temporary and are these levels dangerous? If so, should I stop the cycle? I don't want to cause an damage to my body...
In actuality, even before my cycle, my blood pressure has been quite high for the past few months...got one of those electronic BP monitors at home and been taking multiple readings throughout the day...my readings seem to average at 140 when I take the first reading (sometimes in the high 150's but depending on the time of the day) for systolic and never above 80 for the diastolic...
I am assuming that I have hypertension 'cos everytime I go to the doctor (different docs sometimes), my reading when i first sit down can sometimes be 150 or 140. Generally speaking, the diastolic is usually 80, but on occasion 90. Could be due to white coat hypertension, cos I am a nervous type of person.
The first reading can be 140 or 150, but after 5 mins, I take the reading (after resetting the monitor and re-tightening the arm cuff) again, it drops to 130ish. I then repeat after 5 mins, it sometimes drops to 125ish...does this mean I have high blood pressure?
This is my weight-training regime -
High intensity training 5 days a week
Moderate to low reps at moderate to high intensity (Squats, Bench, etc)
Training sessions at 1 hour daily
In a worse case scenario, if in the event I do have high BP, what kind of exercises should I do and which ones to avoid, cos from what I understand, people with high BP should not train too intensely and also avoid exercise like squats and even bench press cos during heavy lifting, systemic blood pressure is increased from what is called the valsalva maneuver? I think have LVH (Left Ventricular Hypertrophy of Cardiac Muscle).
All I know, is that I think I have ventricular hypertrophy of my heart muscle after the heart specialist did an ultra scan half a year back after a steroid cycle (have been using the gear for the past decade, on and off). The LVH must have been caused by a combination of the
AAS and my lifting. An ECG was done but the doc said I was ok.
I heard that one should so circuit style training at 60% of one rep max in order to avoid BP from rising too high?
Do you think my high BP is transient (how would I know if it is a temporary condition and not chronic?) and if so, what kind of exercises to do cos I am taking into consideration the long term aspect without causing damaging my health (i.e. heart or kidneys). From my understanding, pre-hypertensive or hypertensive individuals should approach weight-training with caution right? But if I adopt circuit type training, I won't be able get bigger from circuit training. How should I train, assuming I have this problem, 'cos I don't have any access to sports specialists who could give me such specific advice.
Don't know how many people out there have the same problem as me, but hope you could help...it would mean everything to me if you could help give me your advice 'cos all my doctors don't know shit and some have even told me to stop weight-training altogether!!!
Yours sincerely (Any advice will be greatly appreciated...),
Soo.
