Next month is my 40th Birthday, I am 5'9" 205lbs, 30 lbs overweight, always tired, aches and pains all over, high blood pressure (140/95), headaches, high LDL (240) and Low HDL (41). Other then all that I have excellent Cardiovascular, I ride my road bike 30 miles once or twice a week, go to the gym once or twice a week, Scuba dive once a week, try to eat quality foods, (although I love sweets) and have no alergies. My GP tested my blood last week and found that my Total Testosterone was only 208, He put me on Test Cyp 200ml, one cc per every 3 weeks. I would really like this to change my life and renew my youth, lose fat gain muscle, look and feel great, cure my pains, give me energy, but I am not willing to risk my health or shorten my lifespan. All of the web surfing that I am doing tells me that the dose that he has given me is not going to be enough to do much at all, and will take months to have any results, if any. Any comments would be appreciated.

You've posted this in the wrong forum. You should move it to the Mens Health forum, where there is a much more extensive discussion of hormone replacement therapy. By the way, you doctor doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. |

He actually did give me enough cyp for 20 injections, he knows I'm Medically trained. I have been learning a ton from this forum, as I have been reading everything that I get from searching Cyp. There are a lot of initials, shortened names and annagrams used but I am beginning to understand a little bit. This is all new for me but I want very much to use this opportunity to change my body comp and gain some lean muscle mass. I am considering injecting once a week 200ml. I should probably find a local Doc that is familiar with Anti-aging and go from there. This is my first week of Cyp, and I haven't noticed much of a change yet except for the Acne which I haven't had for 20 years. Can I take Accutane with Cyp?

Dude if you eat less than you're eating now, you will lose that fat thats making you unhappy. Eat less but be consistant for 3-6 months. you're doing a lot of activity and you're still a fat-boy...you need to eat less man...less calories it is that simple BUT do you have the will to do it? do you have the desire? or do you just like food too much?

I really encourage you to visit the Men's Health forum on this site and read all stickies. HRT and TRT is discussed extensively there. Just off the top of my head, your dose is wrong. And NO, 500mg per week is an AAS cycle, NOT HRT. Usually TRT dosing starts at 100mg/week and evaluated from there. In alot of TRT patients find great results with this putting them in the upper 1/3 of normal range. If you haven't already, you should also have checked: Free Testosterone TSH T3 T4 Free T3 DHEA E2 Estradiol Progesterone DHT Watching these hormones during HRT is also very important. I've found through my experience that after starting HRT you feel a great deal better, however most spend upwards of 1-2 years fine tuning everything to make sure everything is optimal. |

yeah, this 1cc every 3 weeks isn't gonna do it for you. You want to inject every week. 1cc every week is a TRT kind of dose. Every 3 weeks is positively stone-age. Accutane is a big nasty drug. You don't want to go there unless everything else has failed. It is toxic to the liver. Your lips will dry out and crack. Same for your sinuses. Talk to a dermatologist, or ask your doctor for a prescription for some topical antibiotic liquids or some of the newer gels such as Differin. Oh, and post to the men's health section and read all the stickies by a Doc named Swale, who seems to know more about this topic than just about anyone else on the planet. |

Thank you all for your help, I have now spent several days on the mens health forum and have really been educated. This forum has been a great tool, and I am now looking for a good anti-aging doc in my area and covered by my HMO.
