Default I have Lyme disease

Last Monday some friends and I went hiking and camping up in northern Connecticut.I woke up in the morning with what seemed like a small itchy lump on the back of my head.A couple of days went by and it turned into a half-dollar size rash and was starting to form some puss in the center.I went to my doctor and he ran some tests, for certain anti-bodies, and came to the conclusion I had Lyme disease.During those days and even now my joints and muscles are so damn stiff and the headaches really suck.So he put me on an antibiotic treatment for 3-4 weeks with doxycycline. Now I just wait until it clears out of my system.
What really sucks is I was about to start my second cycle as soon as October hit.I recieved the last of my order while I was away and now this shit happens. It's amazing what a tiny little tick can do to 270lb man.I hate those little bastards.
Thanks

Sorry to hear about your misfortune mate.

A few years ago I was doing some landscaping, just helping out a friends father with some on the side work.

My body was covered in ticks from my neck to my ankles. The little fuckers buried their way into my skin. They left a rash which took over a year to dissappear!

Look after yourself, you'll be on your next cycle in no time!

All the best

CT and most of NY and New England are terrible areas for Lyme disease. Hopefully the antibiotics will get things taken care of. This is a good reason to wear pants and high socks and also check your body for ticks when coming in from outdoors.

I had one in my side,
used lighter fluid on it, tried to pull out with fingers; horrible experience but unlike yours, damn funny for everyone else

Hey BIOAS I believe Lyme disease is like Mono.I think you carry the anti-body in your system for a year.Don't quote me on that though.
