Default if DEPRESSED - stay way from these

as i stated earlier,i suffer from some depression but have learned to cope by avoiding certain products. alcohol makes depression worse;its a depressant. have perhaps one or 2 drinks tops and thats it. also, coffee can cause some depression. a cup or 2 in the morning is ok but thats it;any more and you will become jittery, anxious, and the come down is hard.caffeine is a drug, remember that so stay away from all those power drinks at the gym.also, get plenty of sleep, this gives you a refreshing feeling and help your mind become more clear.keep your mind focused, read alot and work your mind, its a muscle. steroids can make depression worse,a moderate cycle is fine but heavy ones can wreak havoc due to estrogen and everything else.i cannot stress this enough. 100mgs of test per week is fine for me as it alleviates my depression to a large degree.what good are muscles if you feel too shitty to show them off? stay away from negative people.for example, anyone that brings you down.stay with mature, logical people and remember, god created each of us differently and we all have strong points;focus on the strong points,NOT THE WEAK POINT and try not to compare yourself with others.you will lose everytime.make yourself the best you possibly can. finally, stay away from cocaine, this is the worste thing a depressed person can take. have a great day.

great post. everything is true about this. i suffer from depression too. sometimes i feel good and sometimes real shitty but behind the scenes, im always somewhat depressed. coffee and drugs do make it worse, i drink coffee to get energy for the gym. BUT if things are getting better, it doesnt bother me. however i do stay away from people that bring me down, for instance my mom, im 22 and she actually triggers my depression. also i noticed each year my depression gets a little easier to deal with, perhaps im getting older and maturing. also yeah coke, i did it a long time ago thank god i dont touch that garbage anymore for years. that was the ABSOLUTE WORSE THING FOR DEPRESSION. the come down is unreal and im glad im away from that lifestyle and into training and being healthy. please bros, listen to mxim, this is very true.

I'd like to contribute by reminding everyone to be proactive in life and realize that every day upon waking we begin to make choices that will affect how that day will be, and how the day after that might turn out. I try to remember that, while some circumstances are out of my control, my quality of life is largly based on my out look on things and how I approach problems and deal with them. This might sound stupid to some one who's never really dealt with depression, but realizing that you can change your own life for the better is a turning point in dealing with and beating depression.
