Default if overtrained for some period of time is steroids bad idea

Ive been diagnosed as being overtrained and was for a good period of time (about a year). Im sick of not being able to lift weights or do any exercise. I was wondering if steroids would help the condition since it lowers cortisol/ speeds recovery and at the same time would help me add the muscle im looking for by being able to lift again. Or is it a bad idea since my testosterone levels are already somewhat suppressed naturally from overtraining and would later (after the cycle) hurt me more? Any help would be appreciated. In other words am I screwed and have to lay around till I feel back to normal or can I use roids to speed it up.

.

Why not, sounds like you have a more serious issue though?

I'm not sure what "diagnosed with overtraining" is? I mean, your immune system broke down and you got sick or something? Did the doc tell you your test levels were below normal from training? Isn't this a sign of some more serious underlying problem as apposed to bb'g?

Yeah, you need to present more info on what you mean by your overtraining "diagnosis", but in general I would imagine this would be more responsive to lifestyle changes than gear.
