Infection?

Ok, I normally shoot my glutes mon&thurs. , last thursday I went to shoot my left glute and hit a nerve or something. Twitched like a bastard and it spooked me enough to find a new spot for that day. I changed pins and shot it in my delt. I thought it went pretty good. The next few days it was sore, but now is swollen a bit and pretty pink. I have a knot about 3-4 inches below my actual injection site. Pretty hard and still sore. I dont have a fever or anything and I feel great otherwise. Just feels like I got hit there with a hammer. Should I be concerned? Infected? Wait it out or go to the doc?

What are you injecting?.Delts can be problematic when you first use them.IF you are feeling fine and the injection site is not hot then it won't be an abcess.Probably just a nice virgin site.You will soon know when its an abcess as it will flare up within a day.I would say its probably just your technique.First time shots in new sites can be a little nervy to start with.Also it can take a week or so to clear up.If you are concerned then its no harm having it checked out.

left glute is always a problem for me,i say go have it checked out if it's been over a week.

When injecting in my delts I never have problems as long as I do the following:

#1 Never inject more than 1cc at a time.

#2 Use either a .75" or 1" 23g pin. When I use a 1" I only insert it approximately 85-90% of the way in.

Note: I know Bros that can inject 2cc with a 1" pin with no problems, but they all have huge ass delts. I wouldn't recommend doing 2ml unless you truly have some monsters. Also, I wouldn't worry about your lump/swelling; it will most likely be ok 5-8 days after injection.

i did my right thigh yesterday,much easier and less painful than the left or right glute,hopefully i can stay consistent and keep doing the thighs.

My delt is 100% better! Never again though, Im sticking to my glutes!

you should try it on your quads,you won't have to look over your shoulder and you can focus more on what you're doing.

thats what I thought too, but I did my left quad last week wed, and it is still sore today.

it isn't sore from the injection, it's just that my whole quad muscle is really tight, it is really annoying.


my glutes hurt for about a week from the first injections, but now after my last 2 I can't even tell that I shot them.

Bro, if you inject in your delts correctly, it shouldn't be any worse than your glutes. Also, when injecting in the thighs, you have to be very careful and only inject in one area. Thigh injections should always be done with a 1" pin on the side of the leg, approximately 6-8 inches above the tip of the knee.
