Injection site pain and swelling

Holy Smoke this bitch hurts! I pinned my left thigh late Sunday, and the site is red and swollen...warm to the touch...did I mention that it hurts like a Motha? The site I hit is about midway between my knee and the top of my thigh. I hit pretty much the same place on my right side 3 days before and had very little pain....went smooth as silk. What I'm worried about is infection. I mean, SOMETHING obviously went south on this...and I know a little about pain...over years of martial arts training I've pretty much bruised, cracked, broken, hyper-extended, torn and or displaced about every part of my body (not always by myself...sometimes i had alot of "help") but i have NEVER felt shit like this.

I'm currently in my second week of a pretty standard 500mg/wk sus cycle...and tomorrow is LEG DAY No freaking way I'm blowing off leg day...I'll just throw in a mouthpiece (so i can have something to bite down on) and go get me some!

Can anyone help me with advice on what to look out for? I mean, if this is some kind of crap that my body can handle on its own then i can tough it out....what worries me is what if this is some kind of abcess? I'm assuming that would be something that will just linger and get worse until I go to a doc and get it lanced...not high on my list of things i want to do, but if thats the answer then better now than later....but how do you tell the difference? Any suggestions about what to do (or what to avoid since i'm on cycle) for the pain?
Any help (or hell, even sympathy ) is greatly appreciated!

Hey, wrap that thing with an ace bandage and take some aspirin. Use a heating pad and massage the hell out of it. The ace bandage really made the diff.

I bought some sust from stealth labs and reacted similarly with every inject.

I don't think the aspirin will react badly with your gear if you take for a brief period.

I used a 23 x 1 1/2...it was 250mg (one of those glass vials) of sust...and the injection site: sit down...look at your left leg...draw a line from the top of your thigh to your knee, in the middle of that line and about 2 inches to the left, thats the spot. this was a bit more towards the middle of the quad than the inject i did on my right side, but it seemed like a big ol hunk of meat. I'm a little worried that i might have hit just between the two muscles, but only cuz it hurts like f#ck and is all swollen and red and warm to the touch. I did aspirate, and I followed normal im injection protocol. Maybe I'm just being a baby about it...but dude, this sob hurts!

Well first of all use a 1 inch pin not 1 1/2. Second of all you want to inject more on the outside of you quad. Not more toward the middle. If you look at your leg from the side you want to inject in the muscle at the TOP of the side of your leg. It hurts much less the the top. And always go a little lower towards your knee than toward your hip. Not much just an inch or 2. K

I think this just broke me from quads...I'm gonna go for vaso-glute for my next one, I just hope this sucker isn't infected. I have some Minocycline, do you think that would help?

bro if your injecting quads use the lateal head. if you miss your leg will be sore for several days. also if you injected sunday thats probablly too soon for an absess to form but that still is possible. asperin and ibuprophren will help. if over the next several days the swelling gets worse and the site is red then you have an absess. if it is an absess in a couple of days youwill notice that fluid is forming. it will need to be drained and you will need antibiotics. sounds more like a bad injection to me.

If it is an infection you need good antibiotic..do you have any amoxocillian in cabinet ? If you do take it for 10 days.

He Doesn't Know Yet. He Just Injecting First Time Or So In Quad. Keep An Eye On For More Swelling Fever Etc. Don't Take Antibiotics Yet . K.

My first few quad injects I had to tell people at work that I pulled something in the gym. You can only say that so many times before it looks like you don't know what you are doing

I still haven't figured out why some injects swell up and hurt while some don't, and out of the same bottle. I had one inject that took over 2 weeks to completely go away in the quad.
If its not getting worse every day I wouldn't worry about it.
