if youre shooting slin you might want to look into instant glucose, thats what EMT's use to bring people out of hypo. i used to be an EMT but im just a firefighter now. just something i would keep around if i were to start using it. one other thing would you recomend a newbie using it on a bulk stack? how easy is it to get a hold of?
Insulin is extremely easy to get a hold of, and it will help you gain mass. It won't help you cut, if anything it will hinder the cutting process because insulin works to increase the size of both muscle AND fatty tissues equally as well. Depending on the quality of the carbohydrates you use (that is to say, if you have a shitty diet or not) insulin can help to hypertrophy your FAT cells before your muscle cells.
I should also point out that the likelyhood of becoming insulin dependant from taking insulin is very slim. Yes, taking insulin causes cells which are already "full" to become insulin resistant in order to prevent themselves from taking in any excess material which they cannot support. However, long term use of insulin will only make you more insulin dependant if you start using it as frequently as an insulin dependant diabetic (that is to say, after every meal, after every carbohydrate uptake), and furthermore, that is not only infeasable but it's probably fatal unless you do some very careful calculations each time. There's also no reason to do this when your body can already produce the insulin it needs for these purposes on its own.
If you already have type 2 diabetes, that is to say, you are not insulin dependant but have heavy insulin resistance already, you may or may not become insulin dependant if your insulin resistance increases. But this is as a result of your condition, not from taking insulin. Insulin usage when you are not insulin dependant AND A TYPE 2 DIABETIC may or may not aggrivate your insulin resistance.
It should NOT have an effect if you are not type 2 diabetic to begin with.
This is a long time question for me. When is it advisable or necessary to use insulin? Iv'e known people that have used it and heard about it for years. I am still a novice so when do I have to worry about having to use it to get great gains? THanks jsup

The potential of hypo is very real. I began low dosages, 2iu, and have worked my way up to about 5iu. I also started with a very high carb intake but gradually backed off untill I hit the sweet spot. somthing like a protein shake w. glutamine right away along with 30g complex carbs. another protein shake after about1.5 hours. I actually don't seem to need that many carbs, about 60-80 g from sugar candy. After it is mostly worn off ~4h I have a medium sized balanced meal with some fat since the insulin is no longer storing (at least it is mostly worn of).
What do you guys think about this. Basically I have been taking up plenty of protein and calories, just limited carb intake (carefully determined) and no fat durring the window after injection. I have been on for 2 weeks and have noticed good gains in strength and minimal fat retention (which is my goal).
Is it necessary to eat more durring the window?
thought I'd share and get an opinions

Very Nice post and it is bound to save many people the nasty experience that insulin can give you if taken incorrectly. Use with caution more is never better. I personally prefer Humalog its easier to control than Humalin R but both work just as well. A few months ago Milos Sacev visited our country on a holiday and I was fortunate to have luch with him and what a great guy, a little too hardcore with slin but he did give me some outstanding tips on how to increase the effects of slin. Although this might be more for the experienced insulin user. just before your workout take 10 units insulin along with: 100grams glucose powder 20-30 grams glutamine a double serving of any good NO based drink ie NO explode BSN and 15 grams of BCAAs. Straight after workout consume another 50-70 grams of glucose powder 50grams whey protein and 15 grams of Leucine along with another shot of 5-10 units of slin. continue with the above eating instructions as posted above. only use insulin on the days you are training. it is advisable to use thyroid meds while on slin or any good ECA stack to combat any possible fat accumulation. Another product that is very effective with slin is HCA (Hydroxy citric acid) it blocks excess carbs from been stored as triglyceride fat. Please dont try this if you havent used insulin before and not everyone is able to stomach all the additional substances listed above pre workout. It can cause a great degree of Nausea if just jumpecd into. I have made some outstanding gains doing this and my recovery between workouts is about 100% better.
