Hey guys. Have you ever heard/read about ISSA degrees? I am thinking to take the personal trainer course as well as the performance nutrition course. Any comments/suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

yeah, i've heard of them. they're one of the top ones. there are thousands of places online where you can become a "certified" PT, fitness instructor, and all kinds of stuff but a lot of the places are pretty sketch. what are your plans after getting certified?

I see. I read about them at flex magazine and i was rather intrigued to be honest. They know how to make something sound good!!! =) To begin with, i would probably find a job at any local gym and put on some advertisements on a couple newspapers and magazines and if i only see i can make good money out of it I will probably co-own a gym with someone or have my own office to help athletes of all kinds. From what they told me, i can cooperate with them as well in any manner.
I also want to do it for my self. I love helping people at and this is a pretty good chance to do it while certified.

sounds good, well most gyms will tell you what organizations they accept so i'd check with them first but ISSA is pretty well known. I saw their add in Flex too a while back and checked them out. i'm an exercise science major and one of our projects included looking up a bunch of certifications and ISSA is definately a good one. A lot of the sites look like crap and have no reputation. Just remember to check out how and how often you have to renew your certification. i think for ISSA you get points for doing certain things and going to certain seminars and you have to have so many points after every two years to renew it.

Thanks bro's! I think it's worth it as well. And it's only 1000$. Others offer it cheaper but I'm hesitating.
