In resonse to your question in your other thread, I would guess you'll be able to start moving around with less pain in about 3-4 days. At that point you will be able to move your arms around a little bit, but will still have pain. By time you get the vest removed(7-10 days) you should be feeling better and able to move your arms around alot more. The majority of the swelling should be gone by 3-4 weeks, but all the swelling will not be gone for up to 8 weeks or so; so don't get discouraged during this time; your chest will keep looking better and better as swelling subsides. For now, do not expect to be able to move your arms at all for 2-3 days. Get someone to even brush your teeth for you. Frankly I'm amazed that you can type. ~Joffa |

Bro I can use my arms just fine. Its just chest pain. I feel like i was stabbed in the chest and when I breathe it hurts. I had a tube down my throat and its killing me. I have total movement of my arms right now. I wonder why, maybe my gyno wasnt too bad, and the operation wasnt as serious. It took abit over 2 hours I know that much. PS: thanks so much for the prayer, I needed it |

Insurance rarely covers this surgery anymore. I tried for a long time to get them to pay with no luck... ~Joffa |
