lots of blood?

Shot tricep for the first time and at the end of the shot I aspirated and blood entered the syringe. Then when I pulled out I was leaking like a stuck pig. I did aspirate before injecting. Would I know right away if I hit a vein? Thank in advance.

Did you inject after aspirating while observing blood in the syringe? Yes, you would know fairly quickly if you injected into a vein. Blood moves quickly and takes no time to go to essential organs.......like the heart and brain!!!!! I would suggest taking out the syringe if you see blood on aspiration and injecting at a different site. The tricep or any muscle group has plenty of alternate spots. Don't just take the needle out a little or push it in farther assuming that it will not enter the bloodstream.....bad juju

I did a textbook shot and I just wanted to see what would happen if I aspirated afterwards and blood came into the syringe.

just curious...aspirated after the injection or after sticking the needle into your muscle? You should always aspirate prior to injecting. Since you said textbook I take it that you already know that. If you ever read about Milos Sarcev injecting Synthol and hitting a vein, he said how he almost died and had to be rushed to the emergency room. So, like we've both said, if you're not on the floor yet you're good to go.
