Default low test levels and doctor is prescribing TRT

I finished my second cycle ever (deca 300 and test 500) in january and have been slow to recover. I used proper PCT and I've hit my diet and the gym harder than over so I only ended up losing about five pounds but sex drive has yet to rebound. I went to the doctor to have levels checked and they came back pretty low. He then gave me a script for test and wants me to do injections every three weeks. I had my test checked a year before ever touching any AAS and it was low but only to the point the doc wanted to wait and see what happens. I never got rechecked and now I'm in this boat. Do I follow through with the TRT or wait and see how I recover? Seems TRT would have been inevitable at some point but seems I could be doing more damage than good right now. Oh, and to anyone wondering why routine blood work is important, use this as an example. Thanks, all.

Age ? Deca freaking killed my sex drive for like 4 months the last time I took it..you may recover naturally if you are lucky. What kind of test injections does the doc want to give you....you might have to educate him if he wants you to use it once every 3 weeks.Also..is he prescribing hcg etc....

28 years old. He said my test was in the 120's but didn't say test, free test, etc... I'm also having to assume that it's ng/dl which is extremely low. It's odd that he hasn't suggested anything else due to my build but he may not have alot of experience with this. I haven't yet gone to pick up my script but I'm assuming it'll be enanthate or cypionate. No mention of HCG but I have some of my own. Seems my career as an amateur pharmacist has given me a better knowledge base to work with than him. I know I'm not fully recovered and some of that will recuperate with time but as my previous blood work has shown, even with both cylinders running, I have low test. I'm just wondering what TRT would due to exacerbate the situation right now.

I am no doc and can only speak from my nimble experiences and research.I would mention to the doc that you think it better to inject 1x per week and he include hcg to your script. You know that you have not fully recovered..the test injections will keep you shut down won't they ?Will you recoop with time if you are on test injects ????
