Major help needed..surgery in 2 weeks

I'm having a herniated disk in my neck removed with cadaver bone being inserted while a plate and 2 screws will be used. Dr said I can work out 3 weeks after surgery but no pressure on neck/shoulders (squats, etc) My question is this....how long do I have to wait to go back on a cycle?? I'm wondering since my body will be working with a foreign object (cadaver bone) and since anabolics lower resistance in a human...I don't want my body to start rejecting anything. It takes anywhere from 6 months to a year for total fusion in a persons neck. i was thinking of running 2 iu's of HGH to speed up the process of healing as well. Suggestions??

I had the same surgery in 2001 on c -3,4 and 5. Everybody is different. I then had to have low back surgery and took several years off from the gym due to surgeries going terribly wrong, but that is different story. Back in gym going on three years steady. I have had friends who have had this surgery and were back in the gym even lifting heavy within 8 weeks. On the other hand, one of my old training partners had his surgery on his neck just before I did and like an idiot thought everything was healed and he wanted to get in to heavy weight again, probably been 12 weeks since his surgery, went to bench 405 and while we were spotting him we heard a loud pop and had to pull the wieght off of him and he ultimately had to have the whole surgery over. So be careful. I still to this day can not do certain movements and have to use a few modified techniques due to my spine problems.
