Not that there is any surprise here but "testing positive from HCG ??? Is his Dr just stupid ??

Not only that but this morning I heard on GMA the news caster saying "HCG is used to MASK the use of steroids"

The press is so misinformed on the topic of AAS. They should really not be allowed to report on something they know NOTHING about !!

I don't think the doctor was stupid, Manny said he took it for a little help in the sack. No why would you inject something you know nothing about when there is Viagra and Cialis?? The "doctor" he saw was from Miami so I am imagining an aging clinic and the doc knew exactly what he was doing.

Ahhh, that I don't know. Where would you see a list of banned substances for MLB? You think a physician like that would care? It should be up to the player to ultimately know what he is taking and if he is allowed to take it so either way it falls on Manny's shoulders. He is starting a lawsuit against the doc which I find to be funny, how could you claim to be that clueless as to let someone inject you with something and not think twice if it is against your multi-million dollar contract to take it?

Well this resulted a small list. HCG is not listed however it says the list in "non exhaustive" and it may not have been updated. So........ he may stand a chance with his lawsuit. However he should have "checked" with the club house Dr. before allowing the inj. And at minumum if you make 50 mil. over x amout of years I think I would "check"

over here where im from the news got it right they said they found him with elevated test levels and evidence to synthetic test and found hcg which is used in after cycle treatment post steroid cycle

idk where ur from but thats weird they allowed someone to report on the topic without being knowledgable on it

Duh,
Even my doctor told me hcg has been reclassified as a class III Anabolic Steroid which it isn't really. This is new to this year and varies state by state. Doc's can't know everything, but if I were "Mini Manny" and made his type of $ I'd sure take it upon myself to know.

Yea, basically ANYTHING associated with AAS is banned by them no matter what the use. And that little mistake is costing him around $8mil... Should have thought a little harder about that
