Eat more, but I wouldn't go overboard eating. The way I monitor myself is with some cheap body fat calipers, there $20. I check myself about every 4 days or so, that, along with your bodyweight and a mirror you can do well.
Start off by eating about 500 more cals a day and see where that takes you. From there, adjust by monitoring yourself.
