my liver is pissed off - MESO-Rx

i have an appointment to see the doctor today. i've been half ignoring a pain under my right rib cage for a few weeks now, dismissing it as a normal ache or pain. i found a small knot in that general area a couple weeks ago, feels like it's between my lower-most rib and liver. during the past couple weeks the ache has been more noticable and the general area has grown more tender. now i'm noticing a dull ache in the entire liver area..

i've been off-cycle for a solid 6 months, and the only 17aa i ran on my last cycle was winny eod. i ran normal PCT and milk thistle all the way through.

since then, all i've run was T3 for 4 weeks, and ECA on and off. the T3 dosing was somewhat interrupted by a vacation, and the off-taper was more abrupt than i would have liked, but nothing too bad..

what concerns me is this - i have taken finasteride 1mg for about 2 years now, possibly longer.. i drink about 1-2 gallons of water a day, but on weekends my alcohol consumption can range anywhere from moderate to pretty damn heavy. am i taxing the hell outta my liver??

little cocerned for what i might hear today, i'm assuming he'll want an x-ray and/or ultrasound or mri. interested to hear what you guys think..

to me that you been taxing the hell out of your liver bro. I hope the doctor has good news for you. Next time get some milk thistle and take it and lay off the alcohol for awhile.

dude, if you think you're liver is acting up, stop drinking alcohol NOW. NONE. PERIOD.

Go to the doc, and get your liver enzymes tested. NOW.

beware when combining any oral drugs:
tylenol, anti biotics, alcohol, winny, and maybe even finasteride. You should not combine oral drugs for long at all and then only if you absolutely must.
tylenol and alcohol for example have a syerngistic (1+1=3) effect in elevating liver enzymes...not good

i'm taking all precautions now, especially laying off the booze, and i am going to have my doctor add a hepatic panel w/ my blood test, scheduled tomorrow. that still doesn't tell me what the hell the knot is. i'll find out soon enough.

Damn I Swear Ive Got The Same Situation I However Have Really No Expeirence With Oral Gear Only Inj.i Also Have A Lump In The Area Described. The Size Of My Finger Nail Approximatly A Quarter Inch Under The Skin I Would Go See The Doc But I Do Construction And Have Been Laid Off Therefore My Ins.lapsed Plz Post Your Outcome .i Also Have The Dull Ache In My Liver Area Have Been Concerned

thanks guys, i was starting to get a little white knuckled about the whole thing but i think i got some good news yesterday. doctor is 90% sure it has nothing to do with my liver... he says i broke a rib. he asked me if i have had any sudden impact of late and the only thing i could think of was a pickup football game last summer when i got popped pretty good in the general area. it was pretty painful for a couple months , and the pain would disappear and come back...

he says the knot is the area where the bone reset, and if that's the case i'll have to live with wherever it sets.. not a big deal. definitely NOT outta the woods yet, he tells me the results from the x-rays today. if they're negative, he's going to check out the hepatic panel from the bloodwork i will have done today... i'll keep you guys posted, thanks for the replies.
