I’m on week 5 of PCT. I think I can post results at this point. My balls are back to normal or at least close enough.
The goal: Add 10 solid lbs of lean mass.
Pre-cycle: 6’0 tall. 192lbs. 7% bf.
The Program: I did a 14 weeker. Low dose
Test Cyp and
Deca for 7 weeks and then
Test Cyp. My doses varied and were experimental as this was my first cycle. Protein was at 300-400 g a day. Overall cals were at 3,500- 4,500 a day.
Results: On cycle I added 20-25lbs. Most gain occurred in the first 4 weeks. I didn’t like the look while on
deca. I was very watery, red, and swollen looking. Strength gains were unbelievable. I put about 50lbs on my bench and incline, for example. As the deca cycled out I lost about 5lbs and looked much better. Then I gained a more solid looking 3-5 lbs while I increased my
Test cyp.
I added about .5 inches on my calves. 1 inch on thighs. And some noticeable mass on shoulder/chest complex although it doesn’t show on tape measure. I’m definitely bigger looking.
Post Cycle Results: I lost about 12 lbs. and actually look a lot better. I’m at 205 in the morning on empty stomach. Leanness is same as pre-cycle for the most part—waist is same measurement. I might have a little more flab on my love handles which I’ll diet off when I’m done with PCT. My strength has not faded at all. I got a little joint pain in the chest.
PCT: HCG for 2 weeks, Nolva for 6 weeks total. (cutting it shorter than I planned). Other PCT ancillaries: cialis, wellbutrin 150mg, ZMA.
I get blood work in a month. I was going to get it in 2 wks, but don’t want to waste $$. My balls have bounced back to normal size and I’m not having any sides, so I know it’s going smoothly and don’t want to spend the $ on an interim report. Also, I want the Nolva to completely clear before my blood work.
Had ED 1 day but think I was mainly just tired, can’t nec. Say that it was related to low T. I’ve been having sex 4-6 times a week during this entire PCT. OF course
cialis helps for the “just in case.” I’ll cut out the
cialis a couple weeks after nolva.
I’m confident blood work will come back to pre-cycle level. I’ve learned a lot from this. I’ll never run deca again. I’ll run shorter cycles in future and they will be
test only here on out. Probably 4 or 6 weeks (my goals are different than most—I can’t allow myself to get “too big” unfortunately). I don’t want to have to use
HCG again. That stuff makes me a little nervous. This experience has also made me think a lot about how to train naturally. I won’t say it was “easy” using gear, but it’s a whole different ball game. It makes me see that when you train naturally it makes no sense to eat huge amounts of protein or do huge amounts of volume. Overtraining is easy to do without chemical support. I think I’ve wasted a lot of time in the gym. I’m going to reduce my workout volume considerably. I now see that I’m at my genetic limit and it makes no sense to train like I’m going to add anything new. This new mass is certainly beyond what I could do naturally—I’ve been training for 20 years naturally so I should know by now.
My next cycle will be way down the road—maybe next fall. My goal now is to maintain this new mass and start dieting for spring starting in Jan.
