everclear(ethanol) works great. if it isnt sold in your state, use bacardi 151.
tastes bad so what some do is place 1ml of the solution in "OO" gelcaps. caps usually open up in small intestine where absorption is best.

do they quickly just inject a mL of the liquid solution into the caps and then swallow?

yeah, you can mix the solution and place it in a 50ml vial w/rubber stopper. any time you want to take your solution, get a cap, draw draw out 1mL of solution, fill cap-close it, swallow

For just a suspension you have alot of options...

PEG-200 and PG are a great combo, plus they can easily be sweetened to an acceptable taste. -ES
