Pain after squats on injection site

Bit wierd this.

Injection went ok on Tuesday mid-day. Went into left ventrogluteal. 2ml of Test Cypionate, oil. Very careful to be clean.

Training chest on Tuesday night went fine.

Training legs on Wednesday ~3pm seemed to go fine including lots of squats and the open V thing that works the outside of the leg (what can I say, there was hottie the other side).

Was ok for 2 or 3 hours after but at about 7pm I started to get a dull ache. Nothing major, and if it was both sides I'd put it down to a good workout.

However, this morning it's hurting quite bad. It's only discomfort really but if it gets much worse I'm going to have problems getting around.

There's no discoulouration but it's definately rasied compared to the other side. I wouldn't expect it to be an abcess because it seemed to start following training, not injection.

Anyone got any experience of abcesses?


I was thinking maybe give it another 2 days and then see a doctor?

p.s. found something here, says some heat may help. I'll try having a hot bath / shower

yea give it a couple of days i guess, i know i had some very uncomfotable days when doing my prop/winny cycle a few years ago. Watch the color of your leg, if it starts to look red/purple and inflamed it might be an infection but most likely it's not. Let me know ho it goes.

yah i would heat it like what merlin says, did u gently rub the injection site afterwards that tends to help me a bit

Nope. Still hurting after 3 days. Tried hot baths and showers.

It's safe to say that it's now raised but not with discolouration. Fortunately it's stopping me doing things. Yesterday I got back from a weekend in France with lots of walking. Just sitting down is awkward.

Can this thing drain by itself or do you always have to go in and drain it professionally?

I don't know. I was really careful to be sterile and it didn't hurt until a day after, after doing squats.

Can this drain on it's own, and how long should it take?

i had the same thing happen to me it sounds like. and my pain and swelling went away after about a week week and half. good luck!

you could of hit an artery too whcih would make you leg fill with blood. This happened to me years ago and i was bed ridden for weeks. and my leg doubled in size.

damn! you can bleed out into your self if that happens (if you rip an artery). i would imangine that you would know if you had done that. im sure you woudnt be in the shape that youre in right now if you done that. and if that was the case im sure your leg would change colors big time.

That's great news regarding it going down after a week and a bit. I'll give it a good 2 weeks

yea i gaurantee you poked a hole in your artery. Actually i went to the doc and he told me it's not an infection because there was no color change, just got fatter and sore as hell, could not walk or sit right for a few weeks. was scary at first though.

i dont know. when it comes to an artery i would go and see a doc. you cant die from a vein rupture but you can from an artery. i would think if it was an artery you would have a color change because of blood pumping into your leg, i would think it would go from a soft red to purple to a dark purple. it could even trun black and blue.

I'll keep an eye on it. Feels like my lymphatic needs a drain like old people get.

Oh, and I'll stay off leg exercises for a bit too. Maybe calf only
