Default pain killer interactions???

Has anyone had any bad side effects or any strange effects at all when on a cycle and taking small amounts of painkillers (hydrocodone), (codene) for pain??? It seems to make me extremly tired the next day and the lymph nodes in my throat swell. Weird???

Now from a medical stand point I have no idea if there has been any testing done to see if people who normaally react find on steroids and fine on opiates have reaction when mixed but I doubt that test has been done. now as for my personal experience. I been on cycles and had to take opiates numerous times from as weak as Tylenol 3 with up a shot of morphine. Personally I have never had any kind of reaction and if I had ever heard of one I would never have started juicing in the first place. In fact my first cycle ever I started while on a perscription of methadose pills. The reason i started steroids is due repeatedly being injured and constantly dropping weight. (I road road race streetbikes) Since I started doing cycles five years ago my injured joints have gotten better and I was able to stop taking pain medicine and when i do wreck now I seem to heal quicker and I no longer take pain killers all the time like before now just when needed.

Being tired may be normal as opiates have that side effect. Just as a side note for anyone interested but roughly 10% of the population (namely white Europeans I believe) can't metabolize codeine into morphine which is the active metabolite. That's why for some people, taking a Tylenol 3 does nothing with regards to opiate pain relief.

Back to your question: that's an interesting observation regarding your lymph nodes but does this happen all the time you combine the 2? If not, is it possible that you just developed a cold at roughly the same time as taking the Tylenol 3 and gear? It would explain the nodes and tiredness? Not sure though but interesting none the less...

That has truth in it and is a interesting note you made. Codeine doesnt always agree with everyone try another pain killer and see if you suffer the same sides.

.
Tylenol 3 is simply Tylenol with Codeine. The small amount of Codeine present in it makes hit a schedule III controlled substance....hence the three.
Codeine is not Morphine. Yes, they both stimulate opioid receptors, but are not the same thing. Codeine Stimulates opiate receptors in the CNS; also causes respiratory depression, peripheral vasodilation, inhibition of intestinal peristalsis, stimulation of the chemoreceptors that cause vomiting, increased bladder tone, and suppression of cough reflex.

Just thought I would clear that up.

Could your tired feeling be shortness of breath?

are you taking any orals? the tylenol in hydrocodone is hard on the liver. i'd be careful about taking any 17aa orals with that.

feeling tired is probably just a result of the codine. are you itchy too? lortabs make me itchy as hell

Actually that makes things less clear.
All of those side effects you've listed are also attributed to morphine. Why? Because codeine is metabolized (broken down by the liver via P450) into morphine (roughly 10%) and C-6-G. That does make them essentially the same thing, albeit a lot more codeine is needed to exert an equivalent effect. Codeine does stimulate receptors in the CNS but so does morphine so not sure what that point was all about.

Cheers
