Hi Everyone,
I've just joined the forum, and this is my first post.
I know it's not very good manners starting off with a question - but I'm really desperate.
I'm a disabled lady, and my little dog Chloe is dying. Through a combination of supplements and vet intervention, we have all her symptoms under controll - but she won't eat AT ALL.
I've done some research, and it looks like Boldenone would be ideal to boost Chloe's appetite, and stop her starving to death. Our vet is now on side, but we've run into a huge problem - Boldenone is banned in the UK, and we need an import license from the VMD to import the drug. Everything else is in place, including contact with the manufacturer Wyeth in Canada.
It seems Boldenone has never been imported since the ban was put in place, so the VMD are being rather difficult - they are now demanding we supply evidence that Boldenone has been used in canines.
I know this must seem a really strange question, but I hoped some of the experts here could point me in the right direction. I know Boldenone was first produced for use in horses, but I thought maybe some of you gents may have come across a refernce during your own research, indicating it's use in other species. If anyone could help, I'd be so grateful, I just can't bear to see my beautiful little dog starve to death. I've been syringe feeding her for six weeks now, which has been totally exhausting for us both - yet she's still losing weight - she really needs a stronge appetite booster, which will also help her regain some body mass.
You're probably wondering how I know to come to a forum like this, even how I knew about steroids - fair questions I used to train with weights, and compete in body building shows - obviously this was a long time ago before I became so ill and disabled myself. As a female body builder I never personally used steroids, but I knew most of the knowledge and experience came from these types of forums - whereas conventional medicine is both very far behind, and very biased. It's a little strange for me, re-entering such a circle, especially under these circumstances. But, I've always found the body-building community friendly and knowledgeable - so today, I'm throwing myself on your mercy - if anyone can help, please answer this post. I really, really need to find a reference that addresses the use of Boldenone in canines - without that we won't get our import license, and Chloe will die. Though my vet is trying hard too, none of the other vets will help her because Boldenone is banned.
I'd like to be clear on one issue - I'm NOT looking for a source for the drug. We know where to get it legally and are all set to do so, we just need one reference to permit the issuing of the import license.
This whole expeience has been heart-breaking, and everytime we seem to make progress, another obstacle appears - I've researched this myself to the point I've made myself eally ill and developed pluerisy - if anyone can help, please do, please help me save my little dogs life.
Thanks in advance, and I'm sorry to arrive on the forum in such need - but you can only start from where you are.

Hi Nico,
Thanks for your super-fast reply.
I've had Chloe on B12 for sometime - it certainly improved her health, but had no effect on her appetite. she's also on selenium, magnesium, milk thistle, CoQ10, Valerian, probiotics, colloidal silver, flax seed.
Her body weight has fallen from 20kgs to 10.5kgs - I really feel we're at the stage where steroid therapy is required.
But thank you so much for answering [and it's nice to meet you], any and all suggestions are welcome.

Did you try a different dog food? My dog has allergies and we've fought that for the last year til finally finding a food that he can eat. The vet wanted to put him down but we kept looking and experiementing. Finally! he's back to full weight.
Hi Nico,
Disinterest in food has been a life-long problem with Chloe, and we've tried everything.
Even human food, solid or liquified doesn't interest her.
It's taken a while to get the vet around to the idea of Boldenone, but since she researched it, she too is of the opinion that without Boldenone, euthansia will be the only option.
If we can just find a reference for the VMD, then we'll get our import licence, and Chloe will have a chance.
Thanks again for your help, and I'm so glad your dog has recovered

We don't discuss sources, not even if human lives are at risk. No offense, but nobody on here is going to risk their livelihood for a dog in the UK. Be weary of any pm's you receive.
I would consider the following options:
Trenebolone - they use this on horses also.
Nutrical - it's a calorie dense paste, force feed her.
Synthetic B12 injections
You should also look into other steroids, im sure there is other things that would work.. Masteron possibly?
How old is she?

Hi Lifesize,
Thanks for your reply - but you're opening statement totally bewilders me - I am defenitely NOT looking for a scource as I said in my original post. My vet plans to purchase the item from the licensed manufacturer in Canada - neither of us are looking for sources.
As to endangering anyone's income? I merely asked for a refernece - obviously this forum would NEVER be mentioned as the source of the reference. Not only would that be disrespectful to the forum, but would actually negate our chances of getting an import license.
It seems logical to me, that if humans are using animal steroids, then tthey will have done some reseach into the subject - I only want pointed in the right direction. My post was never meant to try and obtain sources or endanger anyone's income. I'm very bewildered.

I think you missed my point, and it has nothing to do with income. It has to do with the laws imposed on us, and our hypothetical use.
So you don't need a source, your vet can get your supply from Canada. So now you want to know how to administer the compound? Your vet will probably do it differently than me..
Synthetic B12, 1000mg weekly. EQ, 100mg twice weekly.. Thing with dogs is they have a fast metabolism so I'm not sure if you would want more or less EQ.. Also that's a normal dose for a "working" dog. Run it as long as you have to, I assume for the rest of the dogs life.
Best of luck.

Hi Lifesize,
thanks for replying again, and clearing things up. I thought when you said livelihood in your first post you meant income.
The laws imposed regarding steroids seem very over-the -top, when even a registered vet can't import a required drug - so I understand, and sympathise with anyone facing these problems.
Chloe has been on hydroxycobalamine for some time now, and has been syringe fed with very nutritious liquid feeds. We've tried nandralone and Laurabolin, all with little or no effect.
Thank you for your dosage suggestions, that is an area both myself and the vet knew we'd have to address, but the import license comes first - if we get that, then we expect approx 3 weeks till the drug arrives, and researching dosages then. To date the only info I've found is 1mg/kg body wieght. So thank you for your suggestions, and I agree,I think the treatment will be for life.
I need to read up more on cycles - Chloe had her ovaries removed and I need to consider the effect of the anabolics in a situation where there are no endogenous hormones.
At the moment the vet seems willing to re-administer as required [assuming we can get the drug]. So we've still a lot to learn and think about.
Thanks for your help and suggestions, and I'll certainly look at the other steroids you mentioned.

don't use trenbolone, too disruptive of the endocrine system and affects cortisol too strongly
if nandrolone didn't work at all, I have doubts that boldenone will be much different
also on the dosage, 200 mg a week sounds like a lot of boldenone for a female dog I think, even in horses the recommended dosage is 150mg to 250mg per week (and they are 1000 lbs.), but of course different species have different sensitivities
it is too bad that you have been unable to diagnose the cause of the dog's problem, as anabolics would only be a band-aid type approach to her problems, if they were to work at all
putting her on and then taking her off of anabolics can cause her more problems than solutions as well.... you say she has been a finicky eater her whole life, what has led you to determine that this is a critical issue all of the sudden? Females especially will be very sensitive to virilization and temperment changes from anabolics.
