I posted this on the training forum but I figured i'd reach more people on this part. Alright, here is what happened. I go in one week, I was doing my normal 315 for 6 and whatever. Everything went fine. I did inclines also that day and declines. I come in the next week and I put 135 on to warm up and it feels like the bar is bent (Weight is lopsided). I switch bars, same thing. I don't know what was going on. So, I took a day off, went back, same thing. This was about a month ago and I still feel weakness. I can barely do 135 for 10. There is no pain, just fatigue and weakness. My tricep/bicep underarm area turned colors for one or 2 days but that went away and there is nothing wrong with bicep but I'm having a hard time going heavy with my tricep or getting a pump going. My pec has already gotten significantly smaller than the other one. I just don't understand it because i am not experiencing any pain. Has anyone had a similar experience? |

I tore my pec 3 1/2 months ago,and I certainly knew I'd torn it. I think I heard it tear{I remember I heard my hamstring snap like a twig when I tore that} and was left holding one end of the bar in the air,after letting out an excruciating scream of pain. It took a week for all the blood to surface into my pec and bicep and another 3 weeks to dissipate. I don't know what you have done,but when I compressed a disc in my back doing dead lifts I felt a weakness as you speak,before I started to feel other sides/results of this injury. ? |

Take a couple weeks off, supplement with zma, flaxseed oil and glucosamine sulfate (i suggest MSM by MRM). Go back after two weeks and start SLOWLY with LIGHT weights. Stretch after your workouts and always devote a good 5-10 minutes warming up. Keep your nutrition in check this period of time and rest a lot. You can do ab work and hyperextensions twice a week if you like but it's important not to lift any weights. If you still feel the same weakness after your comeback, go to a doc.
