Proper Aspiration of Intramuscular Injection

I just began injecting testosterone cypionate IM as part of a TRT regimen and I have a couple of questions regarding proper aspiration.

1. Just how far back do you have to pull on the plunger to aspirate?

2. What is the likelihood that you could aspirate, see no blood, but slightly reposition the needle before injection and be in a vessel? Is there anything to minimize this? I am currently using a 25 ga x 1 inch, rotating quads.

Well Rick, If its prescribed TRT then your Dr should be able to answer this one for ya. In the event that it is not, then it sounds like your doing just fine, stick to about a 1/4 of an inch on the pull back

So you're saying you only have to be into 1/4" depth? Or elave 1/4" exposed?

No Bury The Pin In Your Buttock Or Quad Then Pull The Plunger Back 1/4 Inch

Most Likely Your Gonna Bleed A Bit But If You Hit A Vein It'll Bleed Like Old Faithful For 10secs, Just A Little Scary When It Happens For The First Time

And It Makes A Nice Mess On The Walls And Floor
