Proviron and PCT?

All right. I've read and read and can't seem to find the answers I'm looking for.

I've ended a rather long cycle (2 1/2 to 3mos) and am now beginning my PCT.I have Estrogen Issues. No sex drive, bloat ect.

I have lots of Nolvadex and have already started it. My balls are swelling back up. That's the good news.

My Problem is water retention and the beginning of very mild gyno, which never before have i experianced. This must be rectified before it becomes a real problem. I need to lower my E. I wonder can you sucessfully use Proviron to do this? I am currently taking 50mg daily. There seems to be a fight between the factions that say Proviron helps with Estrogen and can be used sparingly in PCT, and those who say it inhibits Test production, and helps none with estrogen.
I would just use Arimidex, or something for a week or two, but they are not available to me currently. I got a lot of proviron and nolvadex on hand.

Qusetion 1:How quickly does the excess already aromatised estrogen get metabolized in the body?

Question 2: can i use Proviron for an effective E anti-aromatiser, and does it work?

proviron will provide absolutely no benefit to you. In fact, it will probably make things more complicated.

Just stay on the nolva at 20mg ed or more. 40mg would be tops for me. I run 20 for pct purposes.

According to my doc, the half life of estradiol is relatively short and will decline rapidly as the remaining AAS in your system is consumed and the estradiol burns itself out.

My advice, stay on the nolvadex and leave the proviron alone.

Good advice here. Forget about the proviron. Now you know to make sure you have all anti-E's and pct lined up before cycle...

Thanks for the advise. I don't argue with you, but would ask you only why? How would Pro complicate my situation? From what I've read Proviron works mildly as an Anti-aro and has a short half-life. (I also read that that's bullshit about the anti-arom., hard to know what to belive!)

Proviron is an AAS. Its got alot of androgenic properties, but hardly any anabolic properties. It is very similar to the DHT molecule. This makes it an oppostion to progesterone. And to the best of my understanding, progesterone can aggrivate E problems, though I'm not sure how. So, I think that's where the anti aromatase claims come from. I don't use it, but if it is used, it is best used during the cycle when you don't need to worry about suppression that will inhibit recovery.
jboldman has made some other points about other reasons that proviron is bad when used in place of anti-E's and in pct. But I can't remember all of them right now.

Basically, what it comes down to for what your dealing with. You wouldn't want to take more AAS when you are trying to recover from an already lengthy cycle.
